On my way to buy lunch for mum, I came across this kittie.
Whenever I see a cat, I have to say hello. I can't help it.
I made some noise to attract its attention but I did not go near it. It might run away.
Then I slowly walked towards the kittie. Well, the poor thing bolted. Ah. Never mind.
Later that day I went out for lunch.
An iced black coffee to cheer me up. This week has been challenging at work.
My lunch - two portions of scrambled eggs and a side order of one whole avocado.
I believe the red powder is togarashi (?), a spice blend that you will find on the table at Japanese restaurants. I prefer without, so in future I will request for just salt and pepper.
I consider scrambled eggs and avocado a really good satisfying lunch.
By the way, let me share photos of a very cute Singapore cat courtesy of my blogger friend Lotus.
This kittie is quite the fatty bom bom hee..hee...
Ahh .... so adorable. They all look adorable when they are asleep.
Awwww...an adorable cat π I also say hello to cats when I see them. I also say hello to dogs π squirrels and birds π¦ π¦⬛ π Your eggs π₯ and avocado π₯ dish looks delicious π
ReplyDeleteWell, that's nice to know! It is very rare that I bump into dogs but if I do, I would be sure to say hello too!
DeleteSame here, I just cannot resist cats π πΊ and like Linda, I say hello to and talk to birdies too π¦π️ people think we are crazy but they just don't understand and don't know how to appreciate nature, nature is priceless! And I love to eat scrambled eggs and avocado π₯ too, enjoy your weekends. Thank God it is Saturday and Sunday.
ReplyDeleteNice! So far I don't get the chance to say hello to birdies or even dogs. Indeed we love nature and God's creatures (the cute ones LOL!). I had a good weekend, thanks!
DeleteYou are so right, Lotus! Animals and birds understand that we are addressing them, talking to them. Whenever I see any of the above-mentioned animals or birds, when I say, "Hi there" they come toward me and look at me, knowing I am talking to them. Nature is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYou are so right, Linda! And these creatures know that you are a friend and not to be afraid.
DeleteWhenever i see cats sitting at the pavement, i will greet them too. Most of them replied me back with meowπ
ReplyDeleteThat's nice! But they never meaw back to me. Tsk! LOL!
DeleteJust wanna share with you friend, my plan to home cook prawns on Thursday 14th August, turned out well. I bought chilled Vannamei Prawns at S$5.12 (Almost all jumbo sized prawns, I chose 10) from my neighbourhood Supermarket (in Chinese they are known as ζ°΄ζ± ι²θΎ)。I cooked porridge to eat with them and I actually cooked the prawns in hot boiling water, simple and easy. I ate the prawns over 2 meals, lunch and dinner, with light soy sauce and tomato sauce, so yummy! I sucked the prawn heads to get the "prawn paste" in the heads but nonetheless I know that they are full of high cholesterol, so I don't eat them too often. But I was happy I managed to home cook meals at home and they turned out tasty to me. At times I dine out, at times I cook at home as I should learn to be independent and not always rely on my elderly mom.
ReplyDeleteWah! What a nice meal with prawns! Most prawn lovers love to suck the head too. That's the flavorful part and I do the same since I am not scared of cholesterol. So, now you know that you can and you are a good cook!
DeleteYums yums, your scrambled eggs and avocado π₯ look so delicious π
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend! π
I had a good weekend, thanks!
DeleteHi PH, just wanna share something I found via a Bible Daily App. Here it goes, occasional anxiety is a normal part of life. In the journey of life, people always encounter different kinds of setback, stress and pressure, more or less. It is difficult to predict when and what time everyone will encounter setbacks and stress. But a life without failure is not a life complete. Without the baptism of wind and rain, we cannot see the beautiful rainbow. Without the test of setbacks and stress, we will not have unyielding personality. When setbacks and stress come, when you feel anxious hope these verses can bring you some spiritual comfort and strength.
ReplyDelete2 Timothy 1:7 - For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
1 Peter 3: 14 - But and if ye suffer for righteousness's sake, happy are ye and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.
1 John 4:18 - There is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear because fear hath torment. He that fears is not made perfect in love.
That is so sweet and kind of you to share from the bible even though you are not a Christian! Words from the Bible are a source of comfort and confidence. Thank you!
DeleteHi dear friend PH, I just wanted to let you know that I have had several comments on previous blog posts (as well as emails from those who have my email address) about mental health. Commenters have told me that they have found the posts I share on my blog very helpful...some struggle with depression, anxiety or stress. So beginning on my next post, tomorrow, Monday, I will focus on mental health for those who are struggling. It is my hope that this will be a source of comfort, strength or help. I also mention this on my tomorrow blog post, about having received some comments from my followers who are struggling with mental health that they found my posts to be a source of inspiration. So beginning Monday I will make more emphasis on mental health.
ReplyDeleteI hope that it will help you and others in some way.
Linda, how wonderful! Mental health is a very serious and big issue and has been highlighted in our local media. Your posts and sharing can have a big impact in giving those suffering from depression and anxiety comfort and hope. Only those who suffer from this mental affliction can understand how painful and devastating it is. I am glad that you are now adding mental health content in your posts. I look forward to it!
DeleteI love avocado and scrambled eggs together too....although I prefer them mashed and on toast...lol. And I also will say hello to any kitty I meet on the street just like you. What to do...we're cat lovers! ;)
