In fact my partner is also on the fermented vegetables bandwagon. He was convinced of the goodness of fermented cabbage after a tablespoon of the sauerkraut brine helped him recover from food poisoning.
He was feeling nauseous with stomach cramps, symptoms of potential food poisoning. So I suggested that he try some sauerkraut brine (I learnt this from a YouTube video).

You should see his face when he drank the brine LOL! And lo and behold, within 20 minutes, the symptoms went away and he was feeling normal again.
My mum loves sauerkraut more for the taste and of course, she is aware of the importance of fermented foods for gut health. Since the three of us are eating sauerkraut, I make it regularly.

Dear PH, I am so glad you found a relief for your partner in food!!! I absolutely love the quote and information at the end of your post!!! This is really true!
ReplyDeleteWe are what we eat....as well, we are what we think!
Minus the fermented stuff, your meals look very tasty, dear friend! :)
LOL! Clearly you are not a fan of fermented food. That's all right, most people aren't. But I am glad I found fermented food and I am a fan :)
DeleteLuckily you always got home made sauerkraut brine ready so your partner can drink it anytime his stomach felt uneasy.
ReplyDeleteI need to find your post to see how you make them and ask my sister to make them 💪🏻Thanks for sharing the recipe in your earlier post. Have a good day ❤️🌞
