Blue Cheese

I went to Red Kettle with the intention of eating Sourdough, Bacon, Cheese & Eggs.

But when I saw that they have brought back the Jumbo Mantou Pork Sandwich, I changed my mind.

Back by popular demand it seems.

No regrets, this sandwich was very much to my liking.

Another one back by popular demand but I did not go for it.

The ice Cappuccino was not as strong as before. That's what I don't like - inconsistency in quality.

After lunch I went for my walk. First stop was at the basement.

Sushi Plus was promoting this Sushi Pop, something like sushi on an ice cream stick. Interesting!

At Shen Niu they were promoting dumplings.

Then I went to Jaya Grocer. I like browsing at the supermarket.

Oreos hoping to bait BTS fans. Oh, I aborted watching their last concert on Netflix because I was not into it.

But I know of aunties crazy about the BTS leng chais. Clearly, not me. LOL!

Then I went looking at the cheese section. I was surprised to find raw milk cheese. Very pricey.

Strong cheese - Parmagiano Reggiano and Grana Padano. To me these are scary cheese because I am scared of strong tasting cheese (although I may find them ok at the restaurant).

Buffalo Burrata. I don't think I will like this one either.

And then I found this - blue cheese. Run! LOL!

My first taste of blue cheese was when I was about 10 years old. My late grandfather was rather adventurous when it came to food.

He let me taste a little bit of blue cheese. OMG! I experienced a mild numbing sensation on my tongue followed by this awful taste and aroma. Never again!

Then I found these mini pumpkins. So cute!

Ah, the price tag. I found out a little while ago that those are electronic when I saw a staff using a hand held device updating a price tag. One moment the tag was blank and then the price and description appeared. I am so jakun.

Heirloom tomatoes, so colorful.

I was very tempted to buy my favorite peanut butter. But I resisted because I can finish one bottle in two days which is a bad thing.

I love cat logic hah..hah... I have showed up unwillingly many times in my life at weddings and some family gatherings. And company meetings.

  2. My favourite peanut butter is Jif, it is jade in the U.S. I am not familiar with the ones in your picture.
Have you ever tried Swiss cheese or Brie?

  3. Not liking cheese, you certainly won't find me buying cheese, so you won't find me in this aisle...lol! But those heirloom tomatoes, I'll certainly get it when I see it. They're so good eaten fresh...and that's coming from someone who doesn't really like tomatoes (our local kind!). I'm not into flavoured coffees (from the few I've tried) but wouldn't mind giving pineapple coffee a go....just because I love pineapple juice! ;)

    1. I am not so much a coffee drinker as a tea drinker, but if you haven't tried hazelnut cream, it is pretty good. πŸ˜‹

    2. Hi Linda, thank you for your suggestion. In fact, one of the flavoured coffees I did like when I tried it was hazelnut coffee as the earthy, nutty hazelnut went very well with coffee. ^_~
