What I Ate At Home

I hardly post photos of my homecooked meals for very obvious reasons.

Because my meals are not interesting.

See? Beef trimmings.

Sometimes I bring it to work.

I also do soups.

With minced pork, leftover cherry tomatoes and brussels sprouts.

This one is with very overcooked vegetables (LOL!) and beef trimmings and pork belly.

My soup tasted better than it looked.

My Sunday meal looked better because there was kimchi, sauerkraut, baby French beans, pork belly and rice.

At Aeon, someone was having fun with these oranges.

I went downstairs to Daiso and saw this cute soft toy.

Reminded me of my late TuTu.

This The BricksNation was at The Starling. If you are a fan of Lego, you will be happy here. I was amazed by what you can do with Lego.

Like this figurine. Made entirely with Lego.

Then I went to Popular Bookstore to look for a journal for my 2026 journaling.

I started journaling this year but I am not very diligent. So there are many pages that are blank.

But when I do journal, I find that it is helpful when I look back to recall events or how I felt.

At Mr DIY, I spotted the Ah Boi backpack hah..hah...

And this transparent bag.

I was very tempted to buy this sling bag. But since it is white, I know it will get dirty easily.

At Jaya Grocer, these very colorful carrots were on sale.

No I didn't buy any. But they will look pretty when roasted and presented on a platter with roasted chicken.

This was last evening's dinner.

Soup with minced pork and eggs. Tasty but ugly.

  2. Those multi-coloured carrots, I would buy if I see it in Aeon near me. Reason being, I've often seen it on cooking shows (roasted) being used by chefs and they look like they're tastier than normal carrots coz I believe these are heirloom carrots. I once bought heirloom tomatoes from Aeon and (for sure) they tasted better than our local tomatoes and even better than cherry tomatoes or tomatoes on the vine. I usually don't like to eat raw tomatoes but these heirloom tomatoes were extra juicy and sweet...and now I buy them whenever I see them in Aeon and eat them raw...so good! ^_~

    1. Ah! I have never tried heirloom tomatoes. So when I next see them I must buy and have a taste!

  3. Thank you for sharing the photos of your food. I would like to eat the dish with kimchi.
The colourful carrots I guess would be more expensive than the usual carrots.
    Enjoy your weekend ๐Ÿ’•

    1. Yes, they are more expensive but worth buying if they taste good and they of course would look very presentable in dishes.

  4. I trust that your home cooked food tasted better than they looked. Looks are deceiving hah! I have been having quite a bit of pork belly recently. Hugs, PH, sorry that the cat soft toy reminded you of the late Tutu. Those oranges toys (for Christmas?) can be so ticklish lol. It is ok that you are not discipline in doing journaling, we have too much to do with so little time. Sometimes we need hobbies that require less effort but still bring joy and happiness.
