This SHIP Should Have Sailed A Long Time Ago

I don't know why I was drawn to revisit. Perhaps for the final goodbye.

No, no, they are not closing down or anything like that. The goodbye is at my end.

They still boast The Best Steak In Town. The last time I was there was in 2023.

Lunch time at around 2.oopm. There was one other table occupied when I visited.

Bun and butter. I requested for warm water but I was told there is only hot water. OK. Served in a teacup.

Yup, chili sauce and tomato sauce. I will need it.

Grilled Lamb Chops. Looks good.

The mint sauce was awful - watery and sour.

There were bone shards in the lamb and no, it was not delicious at all. As I concluded last year, this ship has sailed along with the chef(s) who could cook the best steaks in town. Bye!

  1. I don't remember when was the last time I ate in The Ship. I think it was more than 20 years ago. After that for steak we prefer to go to Victoria Station and now is to Maria's Steak Cafe.
I wonder ๐Ÿค” who eats at The Ship nowadays for them to survive till now

    1. Apparently they still have customers. Some go there more for the nostalgia. The food is really dismal.

  2. Do you think they added vinegar to the mint sauce? That's why it is sour?
Online it says classic mint sauce for lamb contains lots of fresh spearmint and vinegar.

    1. They might have added vinegar. It was very sharp.

  3. The mint sauce does look disgusting ๐Ÿซฃ ๐Ÿ˜ฉ Here in Montreal mint jelly is used...and it is green ๐Ÿ’š ๐ŸŸฉ like mint.
I do love ❤️ lamb. Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ™ so much for sharing, dear friend.
