By mid-morning, the rain stopped. I had lunch after visiting mum. The iced Americano was good.
This is the Chicken Burger from the brunch menu.
I'm afraid this burger was underwhelming. Chicken patty does not do it for me and the fries were limp.
So I had to call for reinforcements.
A few weeks ago I had the Fish and Chips (also from the brunch menu). It was a late lunch after a webinar.
It fared much better than the Chicken Burger. The fish was all right though the batter was heavy and stiff.
The Christmas decorations are not up yet at The Starling but Red Kettle is all decked out.
I thought their Christmas decorations are quite nice.
I must drop by to check their Christmas menu.
Good morning! Hello to your cat family. Aiyo, cannot go Jalan Jalan ah, it's ok lah, stay at home company Mama PH ok? It rained heavily over at SG this morning also, I welcome the rain, it makes the weather so cooling and comfortable. The fish batter looked too thick for my liking. I am having fish for my lunch and dinner today too. Ahh, the teddy bear Christmas decorations looked cute. Today will be a chill at home day for me. Enjoy your weekends!

DeleteDear friend, I love ❤️ your cats π π» π⬛️ and the blue collar is lovely. I am not sure if your cats are microchipped or not, but it is a law here in Quebec to do this. The reason is if and when they go outside and are found, animal shelters, veterinarians and police can scan the animal and find out where it lives and can call the owner to tell them the condition of the animal and where it can be reclaimed.

Thank you, Linda! I am aware of the microchip but I haven't done that for my girls. Perhaps I should. Yup, ,y meals were not satisfying at all. I had expected better. Oh, I am sure the fish n chips in Montreal is amazing. My partner often recalls the great British fish and chips he had in England. I look forward to your evening photos!
DeleteDear friend PH, we also have British restaurants here in Montreal that serve authentic fish and chips in the old English fashion! I haven't eaten at one of them as yet. But I can say that any fish and chips I have had at any restaurant here in Montreal has always been delicious! :)
DeleteWe have British fish and chips here too but they are rather pricey. I did try one a long time ago but I suspect it wasn't well executed, so I was not excited. Perhaps I should give it another go!

The old collar was so dirty and was getting tight so I gave her a new one. Ya, Ah Boi always appears as a black lump. Very hard to catch her with her eye open. LOL!
DeleteNowadays I hesitate to order chicken patty burgers and also deep fried fish fillets because I don't know what I will be getting. Not so adventurous nowadays.

ReplyDeleteAh, you didn't recognize the plates. LOL! That was at The Rustic Grill. I did not mention their name for obvious reasons. I had high hopes for them but their brunch does not hit the spot due to choice of dishes and choice of proteins.
