Many weeks ago, as I was leaving Jaya Grocer, the pretty young lady from Hanam BBQ stopped me and pointed to the restaurant "The lunch sets are coming!"
The following day I passed by the restaurant and looked at the Lunch Set Menu.
Ah! It looks very good! So one day I visited and the pretty lady recommended the Beef Bone Soup. I was very keen because I love beef.
It wasn't long before more customers stepped in.
When my tray arrived, I thought wow!
I love food served on trays hah...hah...
Three side dishes from left - kimchi, chives salad and cucumber kimchi - all I love. These sides are refillable.
I was even supplied with tongs and a pair of scissors.
This is bowl of beef soup had two large piece of short ribs. The broth was mild tasting. I am afraid that the meat was gamey and I found it quite overwhelming. And although it was meaty, I was left somewhat wanting.
I revisited recently where I had a very enjoyable meal.
This time I chose the Spicy Stir Fried Pork. This set comes with a choice of any one of these four stews - Soft Tofu Stew, Pork Kimchi Stew, Soybean Paste Stew, Pork Gochujang Stew. I chose Pork Kimchi Stew.
That looks so good.
I loved the spicy (and it was spicy nyum!) stir fried pork! The portion was generous and so delicious.
The side dishes were the same except that cucumber kimchi was replaced with omelette.
The Pork Kimchi Stew was also very spicy and tasty though I found it a bit too salty for my liking. So I was unable to drink all the soup. This was a very hearty meal and I was so satiated that I did not request for any refills.
Ever since the set lunch menu was introduced, I noticed that there are more diners during lunch time and that's a good sign. I will be back!
Dear friend, the quote is very true. It's a good thing that you didn't base your judgement on your first meal at this restaurant, because some people would and just not go back again to try another selection. I am glad your second ๐ time was much more appealing to you.

Good early afternoon, good that the second pork meal was satisfying to you after the first not so enjoyable beef meal. But very thoughtful of the restaurant to provide scissors ✂️ and tongs for easier eating and more graceful dining in.
