A Feast And A Fast

I was unwell on Saturday - runny nose, fever and headache. That evening I skipped dinner and went to bed at 7.30pm.

The next morning I got up later than usual and felt a lot better, almost normal. I did not accompany my partner to Aeon so that I do not spread the virus (besides I was in no mood to go out).

I thought I would not be able to eat lunch (no appetite) but trust my stomach, later in the day it demanded food. LOL!

My usual air fried pork belly.

I let it rest before slicing the meat into thin slices.

I also had roasted garlic which were placed under the pork belly.

Then I put together my feast of a lunch.

Pork belly, roasted garlic and chonggak kimchi. There was a little bit of rice underneath all that. The amount of rice I eat these days is 1/3 what I used to eat before.

Dinner was beef soup. I was all done with my last meat at 5.00pm.

Come Monday, I broke a 19 hour fast at 12.00pm with a (protein packed) salad.

I added chicken (100g) and half an avocado to the house salad.

An iced Americano to wash it all down.

That was my OMAD. No dinner and my next meal is lunch the following day.

I have had many "worst day of my life" and I am still here. Praise the Lord! Amen!

  1. Thank god, you are better, not enough sleep will have headache, it's good you can catch up on your sleep. PTL that we have survived, there are many people who lived shorter lives than us. As for me, I take each day as it comes. Some days are better than others. Wishing you and me and many who are suffering, good health, peace and happiness! Have a blessed day ahead!
