Not Worth It

Same old story. The Wednesday Special. I went for meal number 2. Sweet and sour meat pattie rice set.

I was thinking meat pattie along the lines of my Grandma's Mistake. But no. This is different.

Nah. Rice, stir fried vege and a bowl of err...mana itu meat pattie?

There's a lot of sauce. So I dug in to find the hidden pattie.

There you are! Just one pattie. I suppose I should not have expected much.

It's back to wanton mee or curry laksa after this.

  1. For a while, I thought that was curry. But the pattie was quite big. Usually we would have it in the form of meat balls, sweet and sour. I love that!

    1. It looks big in the photo but in actual fact it was small and thin.

  2. i spoke too soon in yesterday's post's comment. i find i don't like both the choices for main meal in wednesday special. what are those items in the bowl with the pork patty - potatoes or pineapple pieces?

  5. Looked like curry to me. Really not worth the price. Sigh.

  6. That one large patty can probably be made into maybe 5 - 6 meatballs, so the price is still ok except that they substituted the (cheaper) potatoes with the (more expensive) pineapples? RM7.80 these days is the price of chap fan and I suppose one meat, veggie and egg qualifies as a plate of chap fan. You may not have had their wantan mee but I see a small mountain of its condiment at the side....kekeke! ;)

    1. That patty is actual small and thin - only 3 meatballs I would say. And the potatoes were just plain and not fried. Yes, chap fan these days is almost the same price. hee..hee...I must have my pickled chilies :D

  7. Have to agree with you - it doesn't look too appetising. Hope you're having a better deal today.

  11. At first glance, I thought it was pineapple pajeri which is my favourite. I would prefer curry laksa over rice.

    1. Ya, sweet and sour tapi tak sedap. Betul cakap Hainom. PH pun heran kekadang. Ingatkan sedap bila nampak ramai customer, tapi bila cuba makanan tu, tak ada apa yang special. Eh, jangan puji banyak2, nanti hidung LL kembang pulak LOL!
