So I went to Ding Xiang Sang Nyuk Noodles. Look at the cars outside. Damansara Utama/Uptown is very congested.
This eatery is still very popular. I visited around 1:30pm because I had some work to rush. I usually eat earlier to avoid the lunch crowd.
No noodles. All around me, other diners were enjoying noodles, slurping with wild abandon. Ah! I admit I was a bit envious. Madam! Your brain more important or your stomach?! LOL! Brain. Brain. Of course.

Apparently there are other people doing this as well.
This cream puff place, Little Puff is still around. It's a no no for me.
Then I went down one floor to SSF. This year is the year of the Horse.
At the concourse I saw a booth set up for free checkup for Arteriosclerosis. I don't trust these free checkups. I mean, is their machine properly calibrated?
Are the people doing the scanning qualified? Their mission is to get you to sign up for expensive treatments. That's just my opinion.
It is not. It is sugar, (refined/processed) carbs, seed oils and ultra processed foods that destroy your heart and health.
I ate only half of the pork belly. I was very full after eating half the amount.

Good morning! Last year year of the snake, we did not put up any CNY "snake" decorations as I do not like the animal snake (but replaced with lion dance etc, decorations). This year we don't mind putting up "horsey" CNY decorations as horse is one of my favourite animals. They look so graceful galloping in the field. When I was in my prime years, I once thought of attending horse riding course in the then Greendale Riding School but in the end didn't materialise. Horses symbolise freedom and gratefulness, they look so beautiful and handsome to me hee hee

DeleteYes, I also find horses very beautiful and elegant! It would be nice to be able to take up horse riding.
DeleteYes dear, gratitude and gratefulness are important as they keep us going. Compared to those in war, who suffered extreme physical pain with lack of food, shelter and clothes, we are already so much more blessed. I am happy to hear you are feeling alive and awake. The quote is so true, stress is the actual killer.
ReplyDeleteWe must practice gratitude everyday!
DeleteDear PH, I am so glad you are feeling good, dear friend. The quote speaks great wisdom. I love ❤️ the stuffed animals in your photos. They made me smile 😃
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda. I feel very good! I wish I could buy the soft toys but I know they will only end up collecting dust. LOL!
DeleteGlad that you're alive and awake (as you put it) after your carnivore reset. Envy that you have a nearby mall which you can use daily to burn calories in such comfort...lol! One of my neighbours (an elderly couple) does just that...they go to Aeon mall daily to do their walkabout too but it's a distance away and I've to drive there (bummer). If not, I wouldn't mind burning calories in cool walking spaces also...hehe! ;)
ReplyDeleteI am so lucky, right? hah..hah...hah... I heard that some retired folks like to hangout at malls to pass time and to enjoy the free air conditioning. Aeon Bandar Utama might become my second home when I retire. LOL!
DeleteI am glad to read that you feel absolutely amazing to be alive and awake! 😁🌞
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading about your daily life.
Wishing U a good weekend ahead!
Have a fabulous Friday today!
I see big pieces of kidneys in your pork soup. You are 💪 cos I tried once and don't dare to eat kidneys anymore.
Oh, I also enjoy reading about your daily life, or more specifically your daily makan! You might have eaten kidney that was not properly cleaned. It has a urine smell >.< Have a great weekend!
