Naughty # 11 : A Mini Sourdough Pizza

I was compelled to try this pizza after watching Halla Holla's Instagram promotional reel where the Halla Holla guy (I found out that his name is Terrence) took a bite of this pizza with a resounding crunch.

Carnivore or not, I admit to loving pizzas and bakes. Those things got me into trouble (weight gain) in the past because I was uncontrollable and ate too much of these treats.

So I found myself at the cafe one afternoon to try this Mushroom Pepperoni Mini Pizza

Of course I had to have a cup of coffee as well.

The pizza is served piping hot.

The best way to eat is with your hands.

Mmmm...crunchy and flaky. I could taste tomato paste (a bit strong) and herbs. The mushrooms were meaty and the filling could do with more pepperoni.

But I found the bottom of the pizza a little too tough. Anyhow, curiosity satisfied!

***Kittie Kat Updates***

The kittens are doing fine.

Growing bigger (and hungrier) everyday.

I took the trouble to cook real food for Kittie Kat. I figured real meat (in this case chicken) will speed up her recovery as proteins are required for healing of wounds.

I keep the cooked chicken in the fridge and to heat up, I simply add hot water to the cold meat. After a few minutes, everything comes to room temperature.

This is then transferred to her stainless steel feeding bowl. Kittie Kat loves her new menu (hah...hah...) and this is also an opportunity for me to observe her bowel movement.

I have watched Youtube videos of cat owners who feed their pets with raw meat and report that their pet's poop are very small with minimal odor.

From my own personal experience, since meat does not contain indigestible fiber, there is very little residue (ie poop).

So. This was the result (consumption of chicken since last Friday) :

Saturday - small poop
Sunday - No poop
Monday - No poop
Tuesday - small poop
Wednesday - no poop

No, Kittie Kat is not constipated. This is proof that real meat is digested and absorbed with very little residue. Usually (with consumption of regular processed pet food) she produces large mass of poop (daily - twice or even three times a day) which stinks to kingdom come.

This was her litterbox on Tuesday. But she did produce large pee clumps possible due to more fluid consumption.

Her wound is healing very well and is dry and clean. I will continue to keep her in the cage until the incision of fully sealed.

Meanwhile, little Poodie goes crazy every time I serve her mama with chicken.

She wants a piece of the action too and being Ah Mah's little patootie, she gets a small share.

I wish that I could afford to feed the whole gang with chicken but this might be a treat from time to time.

  1. I love Pizza. A pity some elderly people do not know how to appreciate them. It is an acquired taste to them. My favourite would be the good old hawaiian pineapple ham pizza. Slurps!

    1. The elderly are not used to eating this sort of food and they dislike it. My parents are like that. LOL!

    1. Yes, it is time consuming and costly but brings me joy (but sometimes can get angry when they are naughty!). Thank you for your comments, Libby. I love to read your thoughts.

  5. Post of 15 May 2024. Love the look of your pork belly and how it turned out. Kimchi my favourite too. It is good that we could reap the benefits of probiotics from kimchi. No need to eat any supplements.

  6. The stray cats in my neighbourhood are very well fed. Some cats can be very manja, yet some will give you the "heck care" attitude and are very defensive lol.

  7. I love bread but can do without pizzas. Well, if you have to have bread, at least it's better to have sourdough. If they don't get their sourdough right, it can be incredibly tough and chewy. The sourdough pizza I had at Kenny Hills was really good. I guess I should give you one more piece of advice...don't order pizzas from non-pizza specialists...lol! :D P/S: I see Kittie Kat is getting the royal treatment from her first class accommodation that she won't want to leave....haha!
