I found a capsicum plant in my garden. No, I did not intentionally plant it. It just grew out of the garden compost. Two flowers bloomed and it showed promise of supplying me with 2 capsicums.
See those? But alas, one flower aborted ๐ข
So I was left with only one.
And then one day.....
Cakkkkk...... |
What the.....
Haiz......
I had it removed and relocated to a place far far away. My sole potential capsicum harvest dashed. Hampeh!
It ate some leaves on it's way up.
Pesky little critter!
Hmmm....I see Sam the Snail is back....wakakakaka! Never mind, in the spirit of giving this Christmas, you can afford to give Sam a tiny capsicum (and some leaves) to eat...hehe! ;D Merry Xmas, Sam...hope you had a great meal! ;)
ReplyDeleteDespite it being Christmas, it is not easy to forgive and forget.
DeleteKris : Don't know if that is Sam. They all look alike hah..hah... Well, as you said, in the Christmas spirit, Sam is forgiven.
DeleteMun : Sadly, that is true. I guess it depends on the situation.
I told you to apply some salt around the edge of the pot and the snail would run away. Otherwise you can spray those snail repellents around the pot. You should fry the escargot with capsicum and sambal belacan too.
ReplyDeleteI know, I did not follow your advice. I was thinking that since it's the rainy season, the rain will wash off the salt and make my soil salty.
DeleteAiyo...I can't imagine eating the garden snails. LOL!
So sad, the plant being eaten up by the snail...
ReplyDeleteYa...sobs!
DeleteOh dear!! How I hate the critters. A nuisance to the garden. Sigh!!
ReplyDeleteThey keep coming back :(
DeleteIt sure knows what's good in the garden! :)
ReplyDeletehee..hee..never say no to good food!
DeleteThose snails know when to appear and what to feed on. They are real rascals! Lol!
ReplyDeleteYes, naughty rascal! I wish they would move next door. LOL!
DeleteYou are so well versed in plants to know that this is a capsicum plant. I wouldn't know by just looking at the leaves without the capsicums.
ReplyDeleteI knew it from experience, I had another capsicum plant previously.
DeleteI saw a big snail in my garden and my spouse put it into the compost pit for it to eat the dying fallen leaves.
ReplyDeleteHmmm..it will climb out again to find fresh leaves.
DeleteI have no idea to solve this one, but kalo jumpa i selalu buang jauh2 aje.
ReplyDeletehee..hee.. PH pun buang jauh2 :D
DeleteI'm sorry about your little visitor - he is a cutie though.
ReplyDeleteYes, he does look cute hah..hah..
DeleteMuahahahahahaha!!! I've those in my garden too...and slugs, more of those - the ones like snails without the shell. Not much in my garden so they are free to roam around. :D
ReplyDeleteLOL! I have slugs too and they even climb up my hibiscus plants :(
DeleteAt first glance, I thought it was a small bat hanging upside down from the plant! Hmmm ... in that sense, luckily it was a snail and not a bat? ;)
ReplyDeleteA bat? LOL! I am terribly scared of those. So yes, better a snail than a bat.
DeleteOh my god.... bukan ke this is your lovely Pet PH haha.....
ReplyDeleteHainom, pet kita bela ni, dia buat kacau pulak. hah..hah...
DeleteAduhaiiiii ..
ReplyDeleteTinggal batang chili jer PH...
Kesian..
Tengok gambar memula macam semangat jer..
Lepas ni mesti PH tunjuk yg dah berbuah cili tu..
tegokkkkkkk tadaaaaa tinggal batang..
Sakit hati betul lah, Yati. Kita penuh harapan nak dapat cili, dia datang baham daun2 tu. Nanti PH akan pantau (chewah!) perkembangan cili tu. Kalau ada hasil, PH akan update nanti.
DeleteIt certainy doesn't look cute for me , yucks!
ReplyDeletehah..hah..yes, slimy and disgusting >.<
