Behaving Myself

Saturday was datenite. In the morning, as usual, I went to buy nasi lemak and spend some time to chit chat with mum.

On the way to my brother's house, I stopped by Halla Holla for breakfast because I was hungry. This time I did not have carbs.

Instead, I had six onsen eggs and iced black coffee.

The eggs were well seasoned with salt and pepper and was so satiating that it carried me until dinner time.

I had no trouble finishing the 6 eggs but if these were hard boiled or soft centered eggs, I would not be able to.

After my visit with mum, I walked back to the office.

Along the way, I took notice of the flowers outside the houses.

I was quite curious about this plant when I spotted the red flowers. Two were not so fresh while the others were already dry and withered.

So I went closer to take a picture.

These flowers were multi-petaled and would have been prettier had they been in better condition.

This Bougainvillea was flowering like crazy.

I understand that Bougainvillea thrives when it is hot and dry.

This I believe is Zinnia which I am attempting to plant in my garden.

This rose plant was flowering again.

Then I got to Damansara Uptown and passed by a few restaurants.

Sik Thong Ba has introduced some new desserts.

I wrongly read this as Black Glutinous Rice instead of Ice hah..hah...

Chat Hei Claypot has introduced their lunch set. I have yet to visit this restaurant.

I bumped into my sleepy friend again.

Ah...such bliss to sleep without a care in the world!

  1. Dear friend, first of all, your post title made me laugh...you are behaving yourself. :) A couple of your flower photos with the orange and green reminds me of my blog header photo! Very cool! I love the colours!
Your eggs look delicious! Your flower photos are gorgeous! And when you mentioned to me about Nancy Chan having sent you some seeds, I was very happy and touched by this! What a sweet gesture!
Your sleepy cat friend makes me want to reach out and hug him! How precious!
And last but certainly not least, the quote touches me, because although I haven't mentioned this on my blog and probably won't, I am going through a depressive stage at this time. Just trying to take one day at a time.
Thank you so much for your posts, dear friend, I always enjoy reading them!

    1. LOL! Indeed I was behaving hee..hee... Oh yes, your blog header is boldly green with an orange flower which could also be a Zinnia! By the way, the late Nancy Chan sent me seeds for the Spider Flower and you can see those flowers at this link : https://phonghongbakes.blogspot.com/2018/01/nancy-nancy-your-cleome-jadi.html

I am sorry that you are going through a depressive state and I understand how that feels like. Yes, take a day at time and pray for peace and calmness. I hope the darks clouds lift soon and that you find light and joy again, my friend!

    2. Dear Linda I know and understand what you are depressed about, you are not alone. Same as PH, my advice is take one day at a time, as being humans, everyone has worries and problems, everyone has unhappy memory, it is ok to be vulnerable at times, we are just humans, not the perfect Almighty God. Hope my words of encouragement will make you feel better. Send hugs from SG to Canada.

  2. Good morning ๐ŸŒ„๐ŸŒž your eggs meal is tasty and good. By the way the second flowers photo, are these frangipani flowers. They look so lovely in it's milky white and yellow colours. I love looking at flowers, they made me happy! Very bright, beautiful and gorgeous red colours there of all the ๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒบ flowers. Thanks for sharing. Ahh, you added one purr friend you saw during your walks, melt my heart whenever I see cats and kittens in their sleep, I always just look at them fondly and walk away quietly as I do not want to disturb their sleep ๐Ÿ’ค and sweet dreams. I had a wonderful Saturday weekend ytd, admiring the ๐ŸŒ‡ sunset scenery from my Master Bedroom with aircon and full blast fan turned on. So serene, peaceful and enjoyable

  3. Regarding the black glutinous ice which you read wrongly as rice, the Chinese character did show rice not ice cos ็ฑณ is rice not ice. So there is some discrepancy.

    1. Good morning! It was gloomy at my end but no rain except for a heavy downpour early this morning. Yes, I have seen your ABC and I am tempted to get me a shave ice dessert one of these days.
