Late Dinner, Early Dinner

One Saturday my partner had to work late. So we ended up going for dinner at 9:30pm. Where to go at that hour?

Luckily I had a very heavy brunch with my brother that day, so I was just about hungry at that hour. Since it was late, we went somewhere nearby at Damansara KimGreat Delight Private Kitchen

We haven't been here for quite some time because those times when we wanted to visit, we could not get parking! Luckily that evening we managed to get a spot.

We ordered half a steamed chicken which was served with a very tasty condiment.

I don't know what it's made of - maybe a combination of caramelized onions, coriander and some seasonings.

The deep fried tofu with minced pork was very tasty.

And our favorite vegetable - stir fried sweet potato leaves.

We ordered only 3 dishes because the serving size here is quite big.

Then one Friday, we had our dinner earlier than usual.

We went to Oiso@The Curve again.

I had the spicy chicken stew.

It was very good with generous portions of chicken.

Guess what my partner had?

Yup. He did it again. Order the same dish that he ordered on our first visit hah...hah....

Between early and late, I would always prefer an early dinner.

  1. wah, 930 pm dinner is so late. A long time ago, I have eaten dinner at such a late time but not anymore except maybe the once in a blue moon wedding dinners.

    2. Hehehehe, ya 4 pm is considered very early dinner for many people but sometimes after I have eaten a late lunch at 2.30 pm or 3 pm, I don't eat anymore meals after that at all and go to sleep.

  2. I prefer steamed chicken without the sauce...and sweet potato leaves - I refuse to order the ones outside, would eat my own, pluck the very young leaves - so much nicer. The chicken stew looks like a very nice curry.

  7. The steamed chicken looks appetizing without the bones, once awhile late dinner is alright, if too often, then sure have to skip carbo for a long while! LOL... I prefer to eat early as 5pm whenever I cook my own dinner, but with friends, it will be around 6pm to 7pm...

  10. My earliest dinner will be about 5:30 pm. Late dinner seldom unless something is on. I don't order the same food because I like to try different types of food.
