Not Enough Is It?


I liked the Char Siew Egg Foo Yong Rice so much that I went back for more. When my food was served, I noticed something.

They upped the amount of cili padi they served me.

More cili padi.
Compare this to the previous serving.

Less cili padi.
Maybe somebody noticed that this madam is greedy for chilies.


Give cili padi already, some more wanna wallop the pickled chilies kah..kah..kah...


I decided to flip the omelette over instead of dig into it.


Don't worry, the char siew is enclosed inside the omelette. Love this dish so much. Hmmm...when am I going to start cooking? wahahahaha!!!

  5. i had a scary encounter with cili padi this week ... i ate this soup dish that had whole chillies in it, and i didn't realise it was cili padi, so i ate one of the chillies whole ... i bit it, chewed it, then realised to my horror that it was super-spicy, and quickly swallowed the whole chilly ... and my tongue was ablaze for 10 minutes :D

    1. Oh dear! What an experience. Hope your tongue is all better now :) There is one cili padi that scares teh hell out of me - the small red ones. Those are wicked!

  10. There's no way they'd notice you want more chillies with the crowd they're handling daily....some plates just ended up with more. Actually, you know this char siew egg foo yong you love so much is quite easy to make at home, right? Just tapau some nice char siew and fry it with onions....and wala...you have your char siew egg foo yong! ^_*

    I like spicy food. I like cili padi and all kinda of chillies but honestly speaking, I bukan tahan sangat pedas ^_^ Aksyen aje mahu lebih!

  17. This is my all-time favourite food! 👍🏻 If I go to a restaurant n can't decide what to order, I'll automatically go for this. If that restaurant cannot serve a decent egg foo young, to me, that restaurant can be written off the books.

  18. Rugi weyh LL makan kat kedai cuma order ni aje. Senang sangat chef tu nak buat haha...

    Tp kadang kadang lauk cenggini lah yg makan bertambahkan LL. Kalau ada ikan bilis dgn bawang goreng lagi best.
