Go! Go! Noodles!

Lately, I have a thing for noodles. It started off with Mr Fish and then Menya Musashi. And now I have a new place to go to feed my noodle-mania.

Go Noodle House has come to The Starling. Yay! They opened on the first day of April and I trotted over a few days later.

I knew they would be crowded, so I went early. But no sooner had I sat down, more and more people poured in. So I was very paiseh to take photos of the place.

I had the Premium Beef Slice in Superior Soup

I thought it was rather good but the amount of beef was not enough. Next time I must add on some beef balls to go with it. Which I did on another visit.

The soup was very flavorful and I loved the aroma of wine. And yes, I did enjoy the abundance of coriander leaves I was served.

That evening, my partner was late again. So I extorted him for dinner. Where else? Go Noodle House again. It was that good for me.

During lunch, I spotted two ladies sharing some very Crispy Fu Chuk. It would be too much for me alone, so I took the opportunity to order a portion to share with my partner.

Oh! I loved this a lot! crunch...crunch...crunch... A bottle is chili sauce was provided and I went to town with it.

We ordered a Herbal Tea to share. It was very nice, not too sweet. In fact I had that during lunch. Cold. hee...hee...

My partner had the Pan Mee with Superior Soup with no add ons.

I cannot tahan the chili condiments here because they (cleverly) used the red cili padi which is super duper hot. So those condiments did not move much or else this madam will sapu all.

I had the Trio Special Dark Sauce Pan Mee with addition of Premium Beef Balls. The pan mee was a little too al dente for my liking and the beef balls were rather starchy

Also the sauce was not flavorful enough. Too bad the cili sambal was too hot for me. So I squeezed some chili sauce on the noodles.

The pan mee was accompanied by by the usual suspects of minced meat, ikan bilis and fried garlic.

Well, I must say that this will be a regular haunt for me when I want me some good noodles. But I will stick to the regular noodles and give the dry pan mee a miss.

  2. At least your Noodle House has lots of noodles. Our Noodle House has lot and lots of things, many very very nice but hardly any noodles. My blogger friend, Nick, who came that day looked at the menu and commented - where are the noodles? :D

    1. The beef balls were not that great due to too much starch content. What is good is the bursting meatballs which I tried on another day. Yes, that plate is rather unique, eh?

    1. I am particular about the texture too. I like it firm and not too soft.

  10. Thanks for the peek inside...now I can go try as there's a branch opened in Sunway Velocity here as well. The beef balls in the pan mee is not the same ones in the beef noodles?

    1. I love the soup here because of the rich flavors and addition of wine. I believe you will feel the same way. The beef balls in the pan mee and beef noodles is the same. I just wanted to test it a second time. Not recommended because of the high starch content. Does not taste like beef at all. What you should go for is the Bursting Meatballs. It is a pork ball with minced pork inside. It's delicious :)

  13. We love to eat at this place and I love their decor. The One Utama outlet is forever full house with long queues like going to see Michael Jackson concerts.
We always brought guests from out station and overseas to eat. They loved it.

  16. Again, I don't know what to comment about the food ^_^ But talking about Starling Mall, I keep hearing the name lately. Maybe I should pay a visit to all the shops located here. I heard that there is a new MBO cinema there, can bawa my kids watching movie while they play-play inside the cinema and I sleep throughout the movie ^_^

Wahhhhhh... you so shiok with this restaurant, you visit twice a daykah? Your partner know or not you dah tried all kind of menu at this restaurant before you dare to extort him? Hahaha!

    1. MD, don't go yet because the MBO cinema belum bukak lagi. There are still many shops still not opened yet. So it is better to wait first or else tak syiok lah when you see only 60% shops only.

I betul2 syiok with the noodles here, but my partner prefer the other one, Mr Fish. Takpe lah, I pergi sorang2.
