My choice of drink this time was the Lemon In Silence with request for "very less sweet" (in true Malaysian English).
Lemon In Silence. Poetic, no? With very reduced sugar, I'm afraid this drink did not taste as good as it should be.
I suspect they had already premixed the drink and in order to make it less sweet, they diluted it with more ice/water, rendering the drink very mild tasting.
I squeezed the lime and mixed everything up. As you can see, this is a very carb-centric dish, something which I would usually avoid. But once in a while it is nice to stuff my face with noodles (because noodles are delicious).
The accompanying soup with greens was mild and clean tasting. I liked it. I was very full after the meal.
I walked to The Starling and saw this promotion outside Baskins Robbins. It has been a long time since I ate ice cream cake.

Dear friend, Yes indeed, we have so much to learn from cats.
ReplyDeleteI make pasta myself once in a while, but I use spaghettini, because it is thinner.
I buy a vegan pasta sauce because pasta and meat are too heavy for me.
I do have cheese with my pasta, though, either cheddar, mozzarella or parmesan.
Your photos are lovely.
I prefer hand torn noodles when it is pan mee. Good that you are supporting vegetarian eateries now ππ
ReplyDeleteI am a πΊπ in my previous life and now also cos I am always sleeping π΄π€
π
Enjoy your weekend π
Eh, vegetarian & carbs! So unlike youπ. I never tried vegetarian chili pan mee before. I prefer it with minced pork. Yea, sleep when you are tired, it repairs & replenish the cellsπ€π
ReplyDeleteVery less sweet lol! Or I no know muahaha.
ReplyDeleteYou cannot look at a sleeping cat and feel tense. I love admiring cats having their sleeps and taking naps in my neighborhood. They just look so cute, cuddly, sweet and innocent.
ReplyDeleteI had eaten vegetarian pumpkin hand torn pan mee before and I remember it was delish.
ReplyDeleteYour vegetarian meal is good with greens, runny egg, carbs and mock minced pork. It is ok to eat carbs cos it is not so good if you are not full, it may lead to gastritis, and if serious acid reflux and heartburn which can be very painful and torturing.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing we have in common...pan mee is not one of my favourite noodle either...lol! Your vegetarian version looks like the real deal. P/S: I also do not negotiate my nap times...haha! :D
