So this kitty cat made it to the vet and she is now clean and sweet smelling. But she gave the vet a hard time. Haiz....
But first, now that I know that she is a she, I have named her Belle (I had called her Boy Boy before this hah..hah...). I call her Belle Belle or when I want to manja-manja, I call he Biao Biao hee..hee..hee...
I had to leave her there as the vet had a line up of jobs to do. When I returned, he had started her on her shower.
She struggled a lot, much more vigorously than Ah Girl. She even hissed at the vet. But she is an old girl (vet estimated her at 6-7 years old) and was easily subdued.
The vet confirmed that she is a girl and told me that "usually 3 colors is girl".
She did much better with the hair dryer, did not put up a struggle or protest like Ah Girl did. But when the vet attempted to comb her, she hissed at him and once or twice, he had to quickly retract his hand lest she bite him. Adoi...
So relaxed. And perhaps relieved that her ordeal at the vet is over (but next month have to go back for a booster shot. Ouch!)
It's good to see that she is comfortable enough to zonk out at the office.
I don't think I can hire her as my intern hah..hah...hah...

This post is cute and funny to see Belle's antics. All cats hate baths and I had my share of nightmares to shower for a Persian cat. So much hair and more shampooing. In the end I found the easy way by trapping the pussy cat inside the locked bathroom. Then aim the shower hose at the cat. Once wet, it would surrender with white flag. They are afraid of the hair dryer's noise so another option is to towel dry until a fan. Good luck Ah Hong Chee.

ReplyDeleteI do both. Swab test is only mandatory for foreign workers.
DeleteYour vet is so nice. Personally give the cats baths. Usually helpers do that in vet clinics. Some vets say cats older than one year old only gets vaccine jabs once a year. No need booster jabs which are for kittens, less than one year old.
