It is day 2 of the Restriction of Movement Order (RMO)/Movement Control Order (MCO) and we have all read about the fiasco that ensued when it was first announced - panic buying (which happened even days before that), people jamming police stations to get travel permits, the mass exodus etc. Our prime minister had to go on air again yesterday to appeal to Malaysians to please stay home.
So anyway, how are you all holding up? Me, I am doing fine. As a loner and solitary type of person, social distancing is fine to me. I have been doing it for years heh..heh..
I had to go out to get some groceries because I could not get any during the panic buying. Thankfully, Jaya Grocer was back to its peaceful old self but some shelves were still empty.
There were some people around the mall, not many. Out of curiosity (and because I had a letter to mail), I went up one floor to ground level.
The post office was open.
So was Nam Heong for take away.
All other restaurants were closed.
So were the others shops.
I'll have to wait to enjoy my weekly ice cream treat.
And frozen yogurt too.
Back at the basement it was all deathly silent as well.
Maybe this is good for my waistline.
On the home front all is as usual. I love staying at home anyways.
My cat is bored. Girl, kerajaan said cannot go out. You must stay at home with Mommy hee..hee..hee...
I have more time to play with my cat. If there is another thing good about the RMO, it's home cooking.
I have forgotten how good my soup tastes hah..hah...
Let us hope that the measures taken to curb the spread of the virus works and that our fellow Malaysians comply with the movement restriction.
Let's do our part so that life gets back to normal again soon.
Getting bored stuck at home but no choice. Try to get my kids active and doing some chores than them watching tv or play phones whole day. As for me, I need to crack ky head more on what to cook. Lol. Soon, I may try those food delivery service like FoodPanda. I haven't order from FoodPanda before. Maybe it is the time to try it out. Lol.
ReplyDeleteYes, getting kids to stay occupied is important or else they will get restless. I am starting to cook since I have so much time suddenly hah..hah... Food delivery service is convenient and I have been enjoying Grabfood service every now and then.
DeleteHee..hee...I'm making soup today too. Even though eateries are allowed to open for takeaways & deliveries, quite a few in my housing area have chose not to open. I think I've not cooked as much as I have these past few days. Ah Girl is probably the one most happy with the RCO as she gets to be with her mommy 24/7. She's obviously enjoying her days in...sitting all relaxed like that on the sofa and floor.
ReplyDeleteSoup is the most convenient and yet so tasty. I noticed that the coffee shops and majority of restaurants at Damansara Uptown are closed too. Ah Girl is more accepting of indoor life now compared to before. She used to protest when I kept her in especially in the evenings. Of late, she stays in without much fuss, much to her Mommy's relief!
Deletekinda bored wfm too....my internet line sucks!
ReplyDeleteooohhh...internet slow very sien one...LOL!
DeleteYalor, most happy would be ah girl, can play with her mummy all day long. Stay safe everyone!
ReplyDeleteHeadache also to entertain her hah..hah...
DeleteThat's exactly what your girl is saying to you! YOU CANNOT GO OUT!!! Eeeee...so degil! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I went out just for a short while hee..hee...
DeleteI don't mind staying home. Lots of things to occupy me. Hubby told me to stock up on food but my mind went blank, don't know what to buy. You cat will enjoy having you for herself.
ReplyDeleteMe too. There is the garden, cleaning, reading, internet etc. Supermarkets are well stocked to my relief and I could get what I needed. I am enjoying my time with my cat hee..hee..
Deleteaiyo, your cat is so very cute! especially photo 1. I want to cubit her la. u r notti to go out. I have been working from home for two days without going out at all. Ate 6 meals at home for two whole days. thanks for the eerie photos of starling mall.
ReplyDeletehee..hee.. somehow she looks cute in that pose. I went out just for a short while to get my groceries because it was near impossible prior to that. Phew! that the supermarket is peaceful again and I could get what I needed.
DeleteOh my goodness! That mall looks empty like a ghost town and you braved all floors to snap photos. Thank you for sharing as I was curious too.
ReplyDeleteI only went up to level 1 but it would have been interesting to go to the upper floors. But better not lah heh..heh...
DeleteYour cat is cute and keeps her mummy company. Don't tell me your darling got quarantined elsewhere!!! Meow!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, my cat will meow at your compliment. Oh no, my darling is with me hee..hee..
DeleteI did not go to the mall ever since 18.3.20 but been going to the small market in my area almost every day. Heard that it is going to close tomorrow, no wonder a bigger crowd this morning. Yeah, have to homecook each day, my neighbour and I are like exchanging dishes... each of us cook a dish and we have two dishes instead of one.. hahaa..
ReplyDeleteIt's so weird, right? I hope that it won't be extended. That's really nice that you and your neighbor can exchange dishes. Other people's cooking always taste nicer LOL!
Deleteit's only day 3 and it already feels a bit surreal not having as much human contact as usual. but you're right, it can be therapeutic too to disconnect and learn to accept/appreciate the quiet :)
ReplyDeleteI do hope that this measure would see Covid-19 cases reduced or else this restriction may have to be extended. I can't imagine what that would be like for the business community and the rest of us.
DeleteIt's day 6 today and I'm running out of idea what to cook for next meal =.="
ReplyDeleteLOL!
