Pretty Critters

Sometimes my garden is graced by the presence of pretty butterflies. Oopps! I remember TM's creepy story and I now look at butterflies differently. Oh dear!

Anyway, I shall treat these lovely critters as God's creation and they saw it fit to visit my messy garden.

Do you see it? The butterfly. TM, if you see anything else, please keep quiet.

Now, is that a butterfly or a moth? What is the difference? I should have paid more attention during biology class.

Then on another day, another pretty one came by.

I am very sure this one is a butterfly as it is so colorful.

I was quite happy to be able to snap photos of these pretty creatures.

I also have pretty birds visiting but they are very difficult to shoot. The moment I take my camera out, they fly away.

    1. Actually it is quite messy. Maybe that's why butterflies and other insects love it. So natural LOL!

  3. I love seeing butterflies in my garden too but seldom have them visiting. Maybe because I don't have many flowers around. Mostly leafy plants.

  6. Apa lah all the aunties want me to zip my mouth!!! Tsk! Tsk!
Your butterflies are harmless and just visitors to admire your flowers. Usually the very huge and scary looking butterflies like white or devilish black ones often became taxis for departed souls. They would stay put on the wall or ceiling for hours or days near the entrance of the house if there is a door guardian deity that prevented them from entering the house. That one is confirmed to be the souls of your closed ones or ancestors calling for your attention. Just walk up and say "Hello what's up!" Tell them if there is anything you could help them, please enter your dream. With the given invitation, they could easily enter someone's dream in the family to relay something. Nothing to be afraid, this is normal and someday we will also depart and come back sitting on butterflies, grasshoppers or cockroaches! LOL

BTW you are so generous to post 8 photos showing same flower and insects. Adoi!

  7. To me all moth and butterflies look the same, except that I think butterflies are more beautiful! The butterflies in my garden like to give me a run around with my camera. Most of the time they will fly off before I could even get a single shot!

  9. oppssss....I didn't know about the creepy story that TM blogged previously....I 'played' with the giant butterflies and trying to 'murder' it...when I was a kid...gosh! And during my schooling days I did looked for nice 'specimens' to preserve (for school Bio project), that's when I really murdered butterflies, grasshoppers and cockroaches....Oh sh*t, I felt so sinful now.....

    1. You sound like me when I was a kid. I was really bad. I catch and tortured some of them. So sinful. That makes two of us!
