Good Carb Day : Toast, Eggs and Avocado

The Halla Holla breakfast deal is still ongoing.


However, I discovered that their Grab dine-out deal is no longer applicable. This time, I placed my order for a latte and add on avocado.


Isn't that a good breakfast?


I am really enjoying avocado on eggs and toast.


By the way, the Beef Sourdough Sandwich is now available at the Mid-Valley outlet.


This is my favorite sandwich at Halla Holla and I usually order the focaccia version. It is more expensive but I prefer the softer fluffier bread (with instruction to toast the bread lightly only).

So far so good. Reintroducing carbs into my diet has not caused any weight gain or other negative effects. I reckon a carb meal (with a good ratio of carbs and proteins with some fats and veggies) once or twice (or even three times) a week works well for me. 

Plus point is I no longer consume snacks/processed food like potato chips, cookies, chocolate and ice cream etc. as those are major contributors to weight gain and generally have a negative impact on my health.

One more thing - after consuming carbs I make sure to walk for at least 20-30 minutes.

  2. Good morning yes! Agree this is a comforting, enjoyable and nice breakfast. Have a good week ahead! By the way was reading the "When I was a kid 2" book ytd Sunday afternoon at Coffee bean and Tea Leaf, happened to chit with a short hair elderly woman seated next to me. She was curious what book I was reading. I answered her nicely and said: "Oh! It is a gift from a precious friend." while turning and showing the bookcover. Don't know how many umpteen times I read this book, feel like passing it on to others as a recycle book but sob sob no no it is still precious to me hah hah!

  3. And yes I gave special instructions for my pastry/bread to be white bread lightly toasted just like what you did for your personal preference. Some special instructions are given as to me certain pastry/bread maybe too heaty and also so that it will not get too messy while dining out.

    1. From experience, the kitchen tended to over toast the bread and it became too crispy and almost burnt >.< So best to tell them nicely hah...hah...

That's a good breakfast indeed....bread, eggs, avocado & coffee...can't ask for more! ;) I see you're eating carbs more regularly these days...once or twice a week (forget it)...three times is more the likely scenario...wuahahahaha! :D P/S: So, there are no more official, cheat & unintentional carb days now....only good carb days...lol!

    1. I try to limit to twice a week but I do get naughty and then it becomes three hee..hee... Well, who knows i might get into a "bad carb" day because I am very tempted to eat grilled cheese sandwich. I consider it bad because it is mostly carbs with hardly any protein. We'll see. LOL!
