My Yummy Valentine

So how? How was your Valentine's Day? My partner and I are not in the habit of making a big deal of Valentines's Day.

In fact I was reminded of Valentine's Day because of EPF (and the other statutory payments) which fall due on the 15th of every month. The 15th is a Saturday, so I had to effect payment on 14th and that date rang the bells hah..hah...

But eh...guess what? My Valentine told me that he was taking me to dinner at a place we have never been before. More on that in another post, OK? Today I share my solo Valentine's Day activities.

Any celebration must be commemorated with food. Betul tak? What to eat? I was thinking of trying out Rebel Pasta. But then I was craving for curry mee

Curry mee 1, pasta 0.

mmmm..... Haven't had my fix for quite some time.

Of course must be accompanied by kopi o ais kosong.

After my very nice makan, I went for a walk. On my way to the mall, I saw these pretty multi-petaled Adenium.

At The Starling, I noted that there is a new sensation - Kam Kee Cafe (at the lot vacated by Bonfire).

It was peak lunch hour and Nando's is not crowded anymore while the new kid on the block was fully packed with people queuing to get in.

Then I saw these lovely things.

Later in the afternoon I went here .............

Soylab is as popular as ever and that day being Valentine's Day, I saw many couples coming over.

Mmmmpphhhh....!!!! Soy Belgian Waffles with Soy Softserve. So lovely!

I loved everything on the plate. The level of sweet was just right and the softserve was very creamy.

And then later that evening, dinner with my Valentine.

hee..hee.. post on that coming up soon!

  1. I didn't celebrate valentine's day but saw my sis and her hubby celebrate, happy for them anyway. The curry mee must be a very satisfying meal for you. Waffles with softserve look lovely and tasty. I had pancakes with ice cream yesterday, post in my blog. What a nice makan day for you even though it is solo.

  2. Not a fan of Belgian waffles. My missus had curry mee this morning, not commonly found here and yes, it was good. Post on that in my blog coming soon!

  9. I saw that new Kam Kee Cafe which was full house. I wanted to wait for your patronage and reviews first. Kikikikiki

Seems like our folks always packed new places and then bye bye the old places. Sigh!
