PH's Diet Goes Out of Control. Again.

Yesterday, Mun posted her box of assorted pastries. She bought one of each (all together 13) because she did not know which one to buy. Genius, right?

Now, why don't you take a look at my stash of goodies. I had these for dinner (actually after dinner). I know, I know. Whatever happened to the low carb diet? I can't take it anymore. I just can't. I am letting off steam. I want my carbs. I need my carbs.

But first up. Some dinner proper. No rice. As if that would help.

And now, let's reveal the goodies.

Mango Cream Cheese. Oooooo....this one is really good! The bread is pillowy soft and I love the creamy mango infused cream cheese filling. Yummeh!

Multigrain bread. I like! I don't know why I have a thing for bread with grains all over it. Oh yeah! I also love the Pacific West Multigrain Fish Fillet which sadly is no longer available. Love this bread as it is fresh and has a lovely nutty aroma.

Hokkaido Apple. Something new. Never tried before. It's a cross between bread and cake. Can't quite describe it. Nice texture and the apple filling is pretty good.

And lastly, French Walnut Bread. Crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. And there was quite a bit of walnut pieces in the bread. Loved it!

All these from TK Confectionery. Total satisfaction. I was totally stuffed. And before you ask, yes I ate all that in one sitting :( I won't do this again. I swear. I promise. Tsk!

  7. Phong Hong, I will let my diet go out of control too. It happened during CNY, to be honest, I still have 2 kg to back to before CNY weight. Sigh! Once in a while ok-la! But, don't do that too often. I can't resist too, that's why I stop baking temporary.

  8. hahaha.. yes i read that post from Mun and i also thought she is just a genius to do that.. i would have also pick one of each, not because i cannot decide what to eat, but rather i want to try everything, muahahaha!! but your bread, baru 4 lah, cannot compare with her 13 pastries also, kekekeke.. having that said, actually 4 pieces of huge breads like that also quite a big thing, equivalent if not more than the 13 pastries :D

  9. wah, those bread were for your post-dinner desserts??!! now i am very convinced how a big eater you are!! hahaha.. seriously, that 4 breads adds up to more than 4 bowls of rice lah.. anyway, for once in a while, we do need to pamper ourselves, don't you agree?? at times i will also get a few breads from the bakery and eat them all one shot!! but that would be probably a couple of hours after and before a proper meal.. :p

  19. Now you are tempting me back. There is a TongKee near my place, I will go and look for that apply thingy which you says is very nice to buy and try, hehehe.

Not eating rice does help because imagine you eat a big bowl of rice with vege, meat and then sapu 4 fancy bread. I forgo my rice because I want to eat my pastries, hehehehe!
