Of course fish not fried in my kitchen. LOL!
I was at Red Kettle and I realized that I have never tried any of their fish dishes (except for Fish and Chips).
This is the first time I ordered their Classic Cappuccino. Oh wow! It was like latte on steroids. Wonderful! This may be my favorite coffee.
This is the Oriental Pan Fried Fish N Rice.
The fish (seabass) was fried until crispy. It was accompanied by steamed vegetables.
I love the spring onions, coriander and fried shallots on top of the fish. There was soy sauce/sesame oil in the plate.
I loved my lunch that day! And the coffee too!
Pricey but worth it because I cannot replicate this at home. It is not worth the time and effort.
A property exhibition was taking place at the concourse of The Starling.
I was not interested in the properties but the faux flowers hah..hah...
Dear PH, I am not sure if I have ever had bass. I love the colours in your last three photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda! We all love colors!
DeleteI was in the real estate business and my clients include boss of chains of Departmental stores and they are filthy rich with many properties for rent and sale, some Good Class Bungalow with land size of about 20,000 sf and build up of 40,000 sf yet you see these billionaires, the truth is their families also a lot of problems, true stories which involves one of ex colleagues. I will not disclose her name to protect her privacy. She herself willingly told me when she was around 19 or 20, she already had a boyfriend engaged to her, yet she chose to get involved with the grandson of this super rich Departmental store's boss, he was already married and had a daughter also. She forsake her fiance and chose to have an affair with this grandson. Maybe she was dreaming she can get money with this rich grandson. As you guess so, their affair had no good ending. So just like uou my friend, I am not interested to get rich with properties, people fight and quarrel because of these. My peace is priceless and I am contented with what I have.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, the things people do in pursuit of wealth! Me too. I am contented with what I have and have no wish to change anything.
DeleteHey my lunch was ytf, I chose hard boiled egg, white carrot, red π₯ carrot, fried fish fillet, white tofu with fish meat in between and bittergourd with fish meat in between. They are in clear soup. No rice, no noodles. Costs S$4.20. I put a lot of sesame seeds and a few drops of sesame oil into the clear soup. For the sauce I chose tomato sauce. All in the comfort of my neighbourhood air con foodcourt. All these with plain water.
ReplyDeleteYTF is tasty and my favorite is brinjal and bittergourd.
DeleteLove your lunch, a very delicious, healthy and balanced meal. And the quote is so true. Enjoy your Saturday! I am enjoying mine. May your day be a calm, peaceful, relaxing yet productive one. Love the colours of this post too. Seabass fish is nice other than salmon. I homecooked cod fish that day and it was a success.
ReplyDeleteI have also homecooked cod before and it is delicious.
DeleteTheir seabass dish is tasty. In 2018, I ate the pan fried seabass with mashed potatoes no rice. In 2024, I ate the pan roasted seabass with quinoa no rice. π π
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you enjoyed the seabass. Well worth the π° spent. π π
Have a good weekend! π
Well, glad to know you enjoyed their seabass dish. Pricey but can eat lah once in a while.
DeleteOh yes, this comment is in response to your triple caffeine intake that makes you lose sleep. I do have 3 times of caffeine in a day at times, but all taken before 10am in the morning so I am able to sleep quite well most of the times. I don't take caffeine like coffee or tea at intervals that have big gaps. Just sharing.
ReplyDeleteI try to take my caffeine earlier in the day too for the effects to wear off by afternoon. But sometimes even 3 coffee, I can still sleep. Maybe because I was very tired.
DeleteI don't mind to pay extra for dishes i couldn't replicate at home. Save all the hassles & time. The seabass looks yummyπ
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you!
DeleteI'm quite good at making oriental fried fish at home...I do it all the time except never with salmon. For some reason, I don't like to eat salmon with rice though I like salmon in a western-style dish. P/S: If you like a higher dose of caffeine flavour in your coffees, then cappuccino could well be your favourite drink as it's made with less milk than a latte.
ReplyDeleteWell, good for you! I am (still) terrified of frying fish LOL! I agree with you that salmon does not go well with rice. I tried before (at home) and find it not so ngam. Ah, indeed, now I go for cappuccino as I love the robust coffee taste. I did not know that it is made with less milk until you old me!
DeleteA short food review of Oriental pan-fried seabass, highlighting its crispy texture, flavorful soy-sesame dressing, and aromatic toppings like spring onions, coriander, and fried shallots—paired nicely with rice and veggies.
