I also had to stay in the office to manage a few things and as such I had to deliver mum's lunch early.
This was my first meal of the day. Soup that I cooked on Sunday (with 3 eggs added when reheated).
Mum suggested that I get sandwiches for her, not just for that day, but for the next day as well. She wanted to save me the delivery trip on Wednesday (today).
My mum is a very considerate and practical person. I appreciated her thoughts and welcomed her suggestion. Besides, I hurt my back on Monday (but dare not tell mum because I don't want her to worry).
These were the sandwiches that I picked up for mum from 7 Cafe by 7 Eleven.
I took this photo from the overhead bridge when I saw pigeons enjoying food that someone scattered on the road for them.
I could not help taking notice of these two rose plants. It was a perfect time to snap photos (the light was soft).
Although it was still early and the sun was not strong, I was already sweating buckets.
I am a sweaty person. LOL!
Around noon, I nipped out for my second meal of the day.
Chicken Bakar N Rice at Red Kettle.
Of course I had to have an Ice Long Black.
The Chicken Bakar N Rice comprised rice topped with a grilled chicken leg doused with a delicious dark sweet and savory sauce.
I love the two chili condiments. There was also a small serving of sambal tempeh (which was really good).
A squeeze of the calamansi lime elevated the taste of the grilled chicken. I also love the coriander leaves on top of the chicken (I wish for more hah..hah...)
I closed my eating window at 1:30 pm after having a serving of kefir back at the office.

I had a good laugh at the last cat - orange tabby fired on first day at work! And Ah Boi as security guard? LOL!
But I don't agree (based on IQ) because my cute and cuddly Girl is very smart.
But she may be fired for sleeping on the job.
And this was her partner in crime, Belle Belle. I miss Belle Belle. Haiz!

ReplyDeleteHey there high five to you and your mom! I am a practical person too. No LV, Prada, Kate spade bags etc, which you can only one miserable pack of tissues etc, muahaha. I buy my bags and clothes from Pasar pagi and pasar malam and they are so useful and practical!
ReplyDeleteI had eaten 7 eleven sandwiches before and they were convenient and yummy too! Your second meal at Red Kettle would be what I would love to have, balanced meal with rice, herbs, tempeh, white meat chicken, chili (which helps in metabolism) and last but not least ice long black to balance off everything.
ReplyDeleteBlack cats like ah boi got the evil eyes which can "scare off" any robbers, rapers, molesters and people with illegal acts muahaha. Their black colours also help them to camouflage in the dark and appear behind bad peoples' backs π
