Sometimes I crave for fish. To be honest I am not much of a fish fan. Or any seafood for that matter.
From what I read, if you crave something, it could mean that your body is signaling that you need a particular nutrient. Well, what if you crave potato chips or those snacky stuff? That is addiction and not for lack of a nutrient hah...hah...
So I found myself at Fujusawa Kyanpu Bar.
They are popular on weekdays at lunch time. I'm glad I was early.
Currently (until end of this month) there is a sashimi promotion.
My favorite is salmon, so I had to have it. For the second choice I chose Yuzu Zuke Katsuo (tuna).
The katsuo was presented differently from what is shown on the promotion poster.
This is the Salmon Kama Shioyaki which I had a few times before.
Behind the (half) salmon head are pieces of salmon bones which have meat on them.
This condiment is made with light soy sauce, grated radish and togarashi. That should be enough salmon to last me for a least a few weeks hah...hah...
Earlier in the morning, I passed by this house again and noted a few blooms.
This was at another house further down the road.
I find it inspiring looking at other people's beautiful plants.
Hi dear friend, I actually like fish. My favourites are salmon, sole, cod, rainbow trout and shrimp. But always the filet, not with the head. LOL!!! Your photos are absolutely stunning. Beautiful flowers. Love ❤️ the quote as well.
ReplyDeletehah..hah... it's an Asian thing - eating the head and all!
DeleteThat fish head is so big that I got a shock at the photo. π
ReplyDeleteFlowers are always lovely to look at π
Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday πΊ
LOL! It's actually not that big but had lots of meat. Have a wonderful Thursday.
DeleteMy favourite would be the salmon sashimi. I had not tried raw tuna, don't think I will like it plus I am not adventurous to try. I love peeping at my neighbours' blooms too. Thanks for sharing the lovely flowers photos. They are uplifting. When it comes to meat, fish is not my first choice too.
ReplyDeleteI also find salmon better tasting than tuna. Next time I will get two servings of salmon sashimi. LOL!
DeleteIn your previous post, I mentioned that if a Korean food stall is to open in our neighborhood business will be very good. Just a few days ago, a new Aircon food court opened in our neighborhood and there is a Korean food stall in it. So I had spicy bbq chicken meat with white rice, kimchi and default soup for my dinner today. So yummy! I think God heard my calling lol. They gave me 2 scoops of kimchi, very generous. It costs S$6.30 which is affordable and reasonable for me. Yeah, so I have another food choice in my neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteHow nice! At SGD6.30 (provided I don't convert to RM LOL!) it is very attractive. Lucky you!
DeleteThe food looks so good. Now I am craving for Japanese food.
ReplyDeletehah..hah.. I love Japanese food. Hmmm... maybe I'll do it again tomorrow!
DeleteRM10 for 3 pieces if thick cut Sashimi is very good deal!
ReplyDeleteIt is a fantastic deal, that is why I must take advantage of it kaw kaw! LOL!
DeleteThe tuna was presented differently coz it couldn't stand up straight from being cut too thin (unlike the ones in the poster menu)....wuahahahaha! :D I like to eat salmon shioyaki...and chew on the crispy bones! ;)
ReplyDeleteI wished that they had sliced the tuna in thick slices as in the photo! Yes, those crispy salmon bones were divine but at the end of it I felt so full.
