Say Yes To Nasi Lemak

hah...hah...hah... when you have a craving for nasi lemak, eat nasi lemak! Don't care!

So I found myself at Say Yes Cafe.

It is a very popular cafe. Seating is very cramped. If you are a lone diner, you may have to seat very close to a fellow diner.

See the uncle in front of my table?

A couple who came in later were seated next to his table. A bit too close for comfort.

I was seated next to a gentleman and it was a bit awkward. Luckily, he left shortly after.

This was what I looked forward to - Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng and ice Kopi C (Kosong). It was as good as ever! I was very happy and satisfied.

If you are in Damansara Uptown and want good nasi lemak, come here. Don't bother queueing at that other place.

I have not tried their pulut series (glutinous rice) because I find glutinous rice too "heavy". My default order will always be the nasi lemak with fried chicken. And of course my favorite Kopi C. The Kopi C here is the best.

After my happy meal, I went to buy duck rice for mum.

I cannot resist a rose.

Back at The Starling, I met a chicken hah..hah...

It posed for me.

A special offer at Ayee Southern Thai Fried Chicken.

I passed by this Sports Toto shop at DJ. If I can strike Jackpot1 RM4,000,000.00, I can sau tong and quit my job. LOL! Dream on!

  1. Hi dear PH, I hope you have had a chance to see one of Moonnight's videos on YouTube, she is a lot of fun ๐Ÿ˜ to watch.
I really like the ambiance of this place, and the checkered floor reminds me of the old diners from the 50s and 60s.
I am so glad you enjoyed and were satisfied with your meal.

    3. What i mean is the partner do abit of acting like waiting for friends to come (or give lame excuse for timing) so can get tables adjacent to each other. Like you chop place for 4 pax but end up the 2 non-existent friend didn't show up.

    5. case by case scenario la...it's not like you one person taking a big table for 10 pax and ordering food just for 1 pax. You are coming in as 2 pax taking up space as 4 pax. Same like one pax taking a table for 2 pax (in her current scenario). Still as paying customers but prefer a little more space & comfort. As for the queue outside, sorry la, first come first serve, if you're patient just wait for your table, else go somewhere else lo...that's how business run.

    8. Wah, U r really dog eat dog world capitalist mentality ๐Ÿ˜‚
But it still doesn't solve the issue as the table in front n at the back are also still close. You need to bring 3 people to sit the table next to you, behind you and in front of you.

    1. Yup, Uptown parking is very bad and everyone complains including my clients LOL! You can park at The Starling and walk across.

  4. I m ok with the close tables with strangers because there is still a gap between tables. At kokan Kopitiam we shared tables with two different parties of strangers most of the time as that kokan Kopitiam is always packed and almost everyone shares round tables. At most 3 different parties share one big round table. During pandemic cannot but now sharing tables at kokan is almost a must.

    1. I understand what you mean. Although there is a gap, it is very narrow, just as good as siting at the same table but since that's the way that it is, have to accept or go later when there is less people. Even at Red Kettle, tables tend to be spaced very closely to maximize space. And can listen in to the next table's conversation and sometimes it is quite interesting LOL!
