The usual snacks, trinkets and apparels.
I spotted this Funz Kaftan. My Malay friends call kaftan "baju kelawar". Kaftans are very practical clothing, don't you think so?
They are brilliant when you are sitting down to a big meal or buffet because there is no waistband. No discomfort. No worries about your expanding tummy hah...hah... Sorry, I digress.
Do you see the congkak (a traditional board game) in the center of the gazebo? I used to play congkak with my grandmother when I was small.
I left the bazaar and walked around the mall.
The Barn is now Continental Wine Bar & Bistro. I don't know if this a rebranding or a change of management.
Selling durian crepes. I have tried durian crepes and although I liked them, I am not addicted to them hah..hah...
Tomorrow we celebrate Hari Raya Aidil Fitri. So to my Muslim friends and readers, I wish you all Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri! Have a wonderful celebration with your family and loved ones and please stay safe.
For the rest of you (and me) enjoy your holidays!

Dear PH, wow, what a great place to explore and take a nice long walk! So many beautiful views in your photos!
ReplyDeleteI love the quote at the end of your post and the illustration.
Getting back to this amazing place in your photos! There are so many lovely pieces from clothing to apparel and honey! What a fun place!
Fried chicken....I love it! I really like KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken), but I don't eat it often. It is very tasty!
I love the raya decorations at the starling though you said they were low key, and ah the "Malay" board game which you used to play with your grandma reminded me of the days when I used to play Chinese chess with my grandpa and I beat him to it (or maybe he gave me chance to make me happy, not known hee hee)
ReplyDeleteYour walk around the hari raya bazzar reminds me of the days when I jalan jalan and sometimes makan makan around Ramadan bazaar with my Buddy Jose. Basically the things and food are almost the same as CNY Bazaar.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, luckily I am not addicted to durian too and I don't eat them anymore cos my dad sold the best durians (to me), hee hee. Will you be trying any of the stalls at A Foodie's Nest? And fried chicken, I like them, be it KFC or Jollibee, though I tried to eat them moderately.
ReplyDeleteThank you for showing us the raya decors.
ReplyDeleteI wonder whether salad atelier closed all branches or only at starling mall.
