Meaty Saturday

Three Saturdays ago, I suggested to my brother, why not we go back to Uncle Botak?I wanted to eat more meat for lunch heh..heh... and I was glad my brother agreed to a revisit.

Before that we were at the nursing home to visit dad. I spotted this plant at the home and if I am not wrong, this is ladies finger.

Please correct me if I am wrong. This is the moment that I remember the late Nancy Chan who would have recognized this plant instantly. I miss my blogger friends who have gone way too early. 

At Uncle Botak, my brother ordered the asam boi drink. That red thing is ice cube but I don't know what is the red substance. From my brother's reaction, I don't think he liked this drink very much.

Mum and I opted for iced black coffee.

For mains we decided to order the individual meals and three of us ended up ordering the same thing, the BBQ Fillet Mignon Steak 200g (RM42.80).

The meat was on the chewy and dryish side though tastewise it was all right but could do with more seasoning. That's where the sauce helped make it better. I have no complaints about the roasted potatoes (yes I ate them) and salad. 

We also ordered a portion of smoked duck breast to share and this was the best thing on the table. We love the smoked duck. No desserts this time. We were very well behaved hah...hah...

Hello TuTu!

Tutu was enjoying her morning. She was also distracted by the birds chirping on the tree.

Then I spotted Poodie.

Ah Boi was also happily perched on the wall.

Ah Boi looked so relaxed. Both Ah Boi and Tutu have such shiny coats. I love to run my hand over their fur because it is so silky smooth.
