Because I ate half a duck on site hah..hah..hah... yes, I did! This happened today after visiting my parents.
I went to Twins Signature Roast Duck, Damansara Uptown with the intention of eating their delicious roast duck.
As usual, I must have coffee. Notice the color of the coffee? I finally solved the mystery of the brown Kopi O. Apparently, it is actually Kopi C and not Kopi O.
After I placed my order (for Kopi O ice kosong), I approached the see thau phor to make sure that my coffee is without sugar added. She thought I wanted Kopi C so I simply said yes. And the coffee came like this, and yes, this is the taste that I enjoy!
I think now I prefer Kopi C because the milk mellowed the sharp taste of the coffee. So in future, Kopi C it is!
When the server brought this platter to my table, the leng chai in-charge made sure to check that the half duck was for me.
Girl : Mmmpphh...Ma, what smell is that? |
I don't remember if I have posted these pictures of Girl and mommy.
Wah, congrats for successfully eating half a duck onsite. Yay! 👏👏👏👏💪Ah, just as I thought your brown coffee has milk in it. I hope one day I can get to try this coffee c and duck at this eatery. Are you going to watch mission impossible movie? Full of action, action packed!
ReplyDeletehah..hah...thanks! You were right about the milk. My brother told me MI is just ok. Right now I have no mood to watch movie.
DeleteYes, standard kopi c comes with both evaporated milk & sugar. Ah, that's why I asked if you tasted milk in your coffee. Quite surprised you didn't taste the milk as the coffee would have some sweetness even without the sugar especially since you're so used to drinking kopi-o without sugar. Equally surprised that the si tau por gave you kopi-c when you specifically ordered kopi-o. It's not easy to drink kopi-o without sugar as it can be quite harsh, like you said. That's why I can only ask for less sweet (especially if they're kaw). ^_~ P/S: Yes, they'll remember you alright for giving them good business each time by ordering half a duck which will cost nothing less than RM30 I reckon.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't taste the milk and neither did I taste any sweetness hah..hah... I am glad that I discovered that's Kopi C and that's going to be my default kopi from now on. Yes, I was wondering too why I was served Kopi C when I ordered Kopi O in the past. Maybe the kitchen made a mistake. Yup, the half duck cost RM41.00. They will love me. LOL!
DeleteYour half duck portion looked big, like a whole duck!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a generous portion. Very filling!
