Covid-19 MCO : Day #52 (I Was Naughty Yesterday)

Yah...yah...yah... I swore I would not eat donuts for the next 6 months but heh..heh... I had a major craving yesterday evening.

I have been eating healthier because I put on some weight during the MCO and hence needed to trim down. I cut back on carbs, like a lot, and ate steamed food and soups for a few days. Due to the carb restriction, I was low on energy and could not perform well when I exercised.

Then the craving kicked in. So. Tekan phone, dia mari.

Cannot tahan

Half a dozen only. Not one dozen. Can? After all my lunch and dinner was steamed chicken wings and stir fried kailan

Eat lah!

It was bliss! I felt alive again. So good. Especially the Milosaurus. Nyum

Then I settled down in my jammies to continue watching Breaking Bad. Love this series.

My cat went through her ritual of whining and restlessness, looking for an escape route to go outside. I am used to it now and I just ignore her. She will eventually make her way upstairs to sleep.

I did another naughty thing yesterday. I spent a lot of money.

Thanks to Sean of EDKL for tempting me. You know me, I will spend on food. Now that we are under Conditional MCO and I have returned to work, I can earn back that money. Besides, I also have a craving for a good steak. And hey, it's low carb heh..heh...

Are those gorgeous or what? I will cook one tomorrow. Thought of doing it today but I don't have any suitable veggies to pair it with.

My cat went on a scratching frenzy this morning and drew blood. I quickly washed the wound with antibacterial soap. I have to be a lot more careful with her. I know she didn't mean to hurt me, she just does not understand how sharp her claws are.

She took over my "bed" this morning.

Zzzzzz.............

  1. Okaylah. Once in a while, pamper yourself to something you like is fine. A good way to spend money. Food!!

Tsk tsk, naughty girl, scratch mummy. But I believe she didn't intend to hurt you, like you said.

    1. High 5! Are there any donut places near you or available on food delivery? I bet you buy and then put in the fridge and eat one a day. LOL!

  3. Looks like TM's analysis that he doesn't believe that you will not eat doughnuts for 6 months was on point! Haha...he knows you too well.

I see you're going to indulge in some expensive meat soon! ;) I guess you're one of those who don't need the economy to restart or reopen so soon...wakakakaka! :D Wish I could order some too...but I don't know how to cook steaks at home + I don't have a cast iron pan for maximum results. You have both the right pan...and experience, so I'm sure your steaks will turn out good (I'll be waiting to see your posts on them...and drooling over them). Even after spending so much (over RM300), I'm surprised to see that you're still charged delivery (RM15 some more!). Imagine if it's delivered all the way to KL. O_o

Domestic cats are still descendants of wild cats (even if very distant), so you have to be careful with them. I can't take it if they draw blood. I got it once real bad and I've been scared ever since. That's one of the reasons why I don't carry my cat and I watch his demeanour closely...eyes and ears are tell-tale signs. If I detect the slightest change, I 'withdraw'. You can even over pet a cat to his/her dislike...lol! :D

    1. hah..hah..I am addicted to donuts! They were so fresh and good. Probably way too sweet for you :)

No lah..I am not so rich. Just that with the MCO, my spending actually went down because I couldn't roam at Jaya Grocer and Daiso hah...hah.... The shop gave a free wagyu patty (it's not 100% wagyu obviously) due to EDKL promo and I guess they have to charge delivery. It was delivered via GrabExpress.

I read about how cats can get irritated if you pet them too long or at the wrong time. Very moody and unpredictable creatures but oh so charming.

  4. I wish I could get those slabs of meat here, looking so fresh, so beautiful unlike the frozen meat at the supermarkets here, all black!

I've never bought those donuts though I've eaten them before - not really into those. I wonder how much they cost...

  7. I am glad that Contact.EWEW remembers me saying that "Thou Shalt Never Resists The Evil Temptations of Evil's Sugary Donuts, Just like An Apple to Eve..." Muahahahahaha I was a serious donut eater myself when I was studying in States where there was a Dunkin Donuts outlet right below our faculty building. Those days Dunkin Donut had not opened doors in Malaysia yet and I was hooked to it almost daily with their hot coffee. They went so well to eat donut, drink kopi panas and then tarek Marlboro satu batang in cold weather! Wah shiok nye!

So it is very easy for me to use my Donut Radar to scan another glutten like me. Hihhi

I got shocked to see your blood oozing out so near to your artery. This morning my wife's friend told us his contractor who was working alone in his vacant condo died suddenly from bleeding. They suspected that the equipment that he used accidentally cut his thigh's artery and bled him to death within minutes. It is so scary.
I believe you will send your Fei Mau to the pet grooming soon to trim her nails as you won't be able to do it. Last time I tried to trim the nails of my sister's Persian Cat and ended up getting scratched too. I only succeeded in bathing the cats using hose shower inside the locked bathrooms. Trim nails, better pay others.

    1. You were right, so clever to predict! I used to love Dunkin Donuts but it is not available on Grabfood.

So scary! I dare not trim her nails or bathe her.

  8. Yummy donuts. I don't know how to cook steak properly so dare not buy. Adoi! Must be painful. Girl must be very frustrated and throwing tantrum la or maybe she was playing with you and accidentally scratched you. You can cut her nails or send her to the vet.
