Pre-Chinese New Year Carb Loading

I still have Chinese New Year stories. During the Chinese New Year, Red Kettle curated a festive menu as they do at every celebration.

It was a late lunch when there is less people.

The dish I chose was a supposed clay pot rice with pork belly and tamarind honey pork ribs.

Whatever I eat, I must have coffee.

Now let's try the tamarind honey pork ribs.

I loved the marinade of these ribs.

The chili dip packed quite a punch!

There is more meat in the claypot rice. An egg too!

Fatty pork belly.

Very good.

That was a very filling meal! This menu is no longer available except for the tamarind honey ribs.

After that I went to have a peek at this lion dance.

  3. If there's one thing I can't do....it's to have kwai lo coffee with a Chinese-type meal (somehow for me it doesn't pair well). If it's a Chinese meal, I will only order local coffee with it....hehe! ;)

    1. Oh I see. If I have coffee too late in the day, I can't sleep.
