The renovation works at the Uptown 7 carpark is completed.
Saturday morning I was walking towards Damansara Jaya when I heard the sound of the clanging cymbals of a dragon dance going dong dong chiang! dong dong chiang! What a din!
The dragon dance troupe were getting ready to do their thing.
I came back later to see what was going on.
Oh! The new food court is officially open.
The first stall I saw was Indian Mixed Rice. I must check this out because I love Indian food.
Next to it is Thai Tomyam.
Some stalls are still unoccupied.
There is Ah Keong Yong Tau Fu/Chee Cheong Fun. Next to it is Haja's Cafe.
So many varieties of food! It is very hard to go on a diet in Damansara Uptown hah..hah...hah...
There was a queue at Yazid Steak.
I will have to come back another day during off peak hours to take a better look at the food stalls.
This is Uptown Curry Fish Head.
In Damansara Uptown there are too many food temptations. Now we can compete with SS 2 and my only concern is that it will make this area too congested.
This food court will give Uptown residents loads of variety come breakfast, lunch, dinner and even supper. Office workers now have another place to go to for their lunch and that should be exciting.
This food court reminds me of my days going to Malaysia, this is how their food court looks like. I had nasi lemak at their food court during a stopover and it was so affordable and super tasty. It's been quite a while since I visit Malaysia. Have a beautiful Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI love food courts and when I used to go to KL to jalan-jalan in my younger days, I ate at food courts at the shopping complexes. The most visited back in those days was Sg Wang Plaza.
DeleteThis food court looks very different from the ones here in Montreal. Here, sometimes the seats are attached to the tables. And often there are booths with cushioned benches, which makes the eating experience more comfortable.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in Boston some years back, I came upon a very nice food court at Faneuil Hall Marketplace. Too bad I did not have a cell phone back then, so I did not manage to take photos.
DeleteI used to buy ABC ice kacang from one of these stalls many years ago before they close for renovations. Next time I am in uptown will go visit this new food court. Thanks for the update. 👍 😊
ReplyDeleteHave a superb Sunday! 🌺
I think many people have good memories of the food court and will be pleased that it has reopened with better facilities.
DeleteDear friend, you mentioned that you tried fish and chips in a British restaurant in the past and you were not impressed. My suggestion would be to try a different British restaurant for fish and chips to see if it is better than your last experience. This is what I would do.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea, Linda. Most of these better restaurants are located at the city center and I seldom ventures there. But who know, one of these days I might be able to!
