We made Kar Hiong our permanent makan port because it is the most convenient in terms of location and parking.
With mum around, parking is an important consideration because we need to park as close as possible to the venue for easy access.
My brother called the shots and we ordered this Butter Squid (S). Unfortunately it was very tough and chewy. We reckon this could be those frozen squids that you can buy from the supermarket frozen section.
The same-old-same-old Honey Pepper Abalone Mushrooms (L). Still in small bits and pieces like last week. But still tastes very good.
Originally, we ordered a medium portion of these Signature Pork Ribs (because we enjoyed it so much the previous visit). Then a server came over to inform us that they don't have medium portion, only large.
Oh well, no choice so we accepted.
This serving size is no issue for us. We can eat! LOL! But this batch of ribs were leaner and not fatty like the one we had the week before. Although I still enjoyed it (there was less sauce) my brother felt that it was not as exciting.
I know although you're planing to order other dishes at KaR Hiong, but the Honey Pepper Abalone Mushrooms will be remained as your family's most loved dish. ^__^
ReplyDeleteAm I correct to say that in your photo, there are two large long pork ribs on bones served on a plate and not cut into smaller pieces?
ReplyDeleteThe 3 BB kitties remind me of the 3 musketeers! Soon Kittie Kat has to learn to discipline them by whacking them with her paw if they don't listen to mama and grandma.
ReplyDeleteHow I miss eating all these dishes with a coating of sauce of some sort...haiz.
