Last year, a friend from my primary school whatsapp group posted a video of one Aban Jan enjoying Property Burger and McFlurry Berani.
I thought Aban Jan was hilarious without even trying. And because of Aban Jan, I had a craving that had to be fulfilled.

This happened on a rainy Thursday evening. Luckily the rain stopped before my order arrived.

It's still as good as before except that I found the sauce too overpowering. I think they put too much black pepper
The black pepper stung my lips and my tongue. I love black pepper but too much of it, I am not happy.
I love fries!
I found a very curly one.
And a not so curly one.
And now for the McFlurry
I'm afraid I did not like those brownie bits. They were very sweet and tasted artificial to me.
Other than that, I loved it.
Today, lunch is stuffed ikan cencaru.
With rice and greens that were stir fried in the leftover oil from frying the fish.
Practical and delicious!
Oh, the pepper sauce is too peppery for u. Then I cannot eat it. Brownie u don't like, I still have budget ice cream in my fridge so I cannot buy mcFlurry to eat. Good that you satisfy the cravings started by Aban Jan.

DeleteI am not into McD except for the nasi lemak which I find is quite nice. I like the stuffed fish, one of my family's favourite dish, I haven't tried doing it before, I normally buy from the chap farn stalls. Unfortunately, nothing compared to the ones my mom used to make...

DeleteOh, I already had my fill of favourite Prosperity Burger (I actually thought there was a typo error until I read further) when it came out (again) last year! ;) It's exactly the same as before...they like to 'overkill' with black pepper. I always start by scrapping off some of the sauce first...every year.
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love stuffed ikan cencaru...the bought ones...you won't catch me frying this at home...haha! :D I usually don't stir-fry vegetable with leftover oil from frying fish coz the vegetables will look a bit discoloured from the darkenend/dirty oil but I would use it to cook something in dark/oyster sauce. Your (practical) stir-fry with leftover oil means your vegetables will have a touch of spiciness (delicious). ^_~
The ikan cencaru were in the freezer and I wanted to clear them, hence I was so rajin hah..hah.. It's true about the oil but I did not want to wash the wok just to fry the veggies.
DeleteI never liked Prosperity Burger, tried once, never again. The black pepper sauce is horrible, like straight from the bottle, Never mind that I am not going to prosperous every year. Sobssss!!!! Give me your stuffed ikan cencaru ANYTIME!!! Yum yummmm!!!

DeleteI had Prosperity burger on last month (on 18 Dec) after my last working-in-the-office-day for year 2020. Mine is still OK, the sauce is not too peppery.

DeleteSo it was a typo error? Prosperity Burger becomes Property Burger and McFlurry Brownie becomes McFlurry Berani? I prefer curly fries than the normal fries. I don't think I will like Prosperity Burger as I do not like Black Pepper Sauce.

DeleteI totally agree with you on the overpowering black pepper which has been happening for a few years. The only thing I look forward in the set now is the curly fries :P
