My Auntie's Roses

My Auntie recently sent me photos of her gorgeous roses. Gosh, they are really so lovely!

The weather in NZ is suitable for roses. My dad has some in his garden too but me, well, I dare not plant roses. Sure die one.

I do wish I could have such beautiful blooms in my garden.

Maybe one day I can spend more time in my garden and I could do wonders (wishful thinking).

Right now what I have are only hibiscus which only bloom one flower at a time.

These lovelies are from her neighbor. My neighbor? They always lower their heads and pretend not to see me. Haiz.... Am I that scary?

Maybe they heard me scolding the stray cats too often and they think I am bonkers (which I actually am). But it's OK. I'm cool with that ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I like that kind of neighborhood also where people interact with each other regularly & happily, sharing common interest etc.

  6. Your aunty has roses in every colour (the common colours, I mean). Why would you say your neighbours pretend not to see you. They obviously like you enough to give you fresh flowers...haha! @_@ I see you always have fresh flowers in your kitchen, that's nice. I'd love to do that too but I have no garden to produce flowers for me and buying them weekly cost too much. Plus nowadays with Cookie around, I can't do that as he will chew on them. He even chew my fake flowers until I have to put them all away in my glass cabinet where he can't attack them! :D

  7. Your auntie's roses are so beautiful and their weather allows anything to be planted with minimal care. Their American roses are sometimes bigger than my face and their pumpkins are bigger than my ass too. I think you should be happy to grow more Bunga Kantan will do. They are so precious and make good wedding bouquets. Have you booked Ritz-Carlton??

    Roses are red,
    Violets are blue,
    The slipper was red,
    It was you!!

Talking about neighbours, haiks! This morning I wanted to throw rubbish outside and saw a very old lady walking pass me. I smiled widely & beamed my best Colgate teeth and greeted her very loudly "Good Morning". She just looked into my eyes like a horrid witch having her 3rd menopause and ignored me!! Kaneeneh! I pengsan woiii. Haiks!

    1. hah..hah..hah...as always you are hilarious! I think our local people here are not used to people greeting them. They will be so shocked and petrified and don't know how to respond.
