That means when you all dine out, you have to avoid the dishes with dark-type sauces since it's overused indeed as many of them are made with a combination of oyster sauce & dark soy. I cook with a lot of oyster sauce at home coz it's the easiest sauce to make. I've never tried vegetarian oyster sauce before, perhaps I should give that a try to see if the flavour/result is the same.contact.ewewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01142689964601201058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1222156107435210447.post-51197672009010637762020-05-26T13:55:11.110+08:002020-05-26T13:55:11.110+08:00Wah, good good. I'm sure there was no offence taken of his cooking coz we know you're a sporting person who takes all our comments in good fun...and not overly sensitive like some people can be. I hope your partner don't take offence too coz I don't remember reading anyone criticising your partner's cooking, some of us just used the words "boring, dull and not exciting" to describe his food which basically equals "not interesting"...and not that it was bad or anything like that.

Hey, I actually like his fried saba fillet & salted eggs with porridge (I like anything with salted eggs, some more this time the yolks are vibrantly orange) and of course the one-dish meal he cooked is more like it...got pork, got mushrooms, got potatoes, got veggies (carrot, onions & peas), got sauce...is that stir-fried with oyster sauce & dark soy for maximum flavour? Nyum nyum! ;) Aha, I still see the bland, steamed 'with-no-seasoning' okra lurking in the background...wuahahahaha! :D P/S: I'd be so happy if I open my fridge and find your prepped dinner of pork (ok, maybe I prefer the pork leaner...hehe), mushrooms, asparagus & tomatoes! ^.^ And Ah Girl is finally proud of daddy's cooking today...you show 'em, daddy! ;Dcontact.ewewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01142689964601201058noreply@blogger.com
