I Still Love Meat

Although I am no longer strictly (or largely) carnivore, I still love meat and my diet is still mainly meat based.

The sight of a good piece of steak never fails to excite me. Just like Dracula looking at blood.

My poor cast iron pan is in a dormant state and lost its status to the air fryer. Although I must admit that the best way to cook a steak is by using a good cast iron pan. You can't achieve a sear using the air fryer.

Now I like to slice the steak and return it to the metal plate to mix with the rendered fat and browned garlic. The flavors are amazing!

Just for presentation, I put the steak slices into a plate together with kimchi and sauerkraut

This was lunch Sunday.

Dinner was rice, minced beef omelette and kimchi. I ate this while watching a Danish crime series, The Chestnut Man on Netflix.

Watching a show in foreign language can be challenging because you have to read the subtitles while trying to follow the story. Although some shows have the dubbed version, I still prefer to watch in the original language.

A couple of weeks ago I enjoyed a documentary - Should I Marry A Murderer? It was riveting and I totally enjoyed the story.

  2. I would love steaks too if they're good quality ones...but certainly can't eat it too frequently. Your cast iron pan has lost its no. 1 position to the air fryer...and for me it's my oven. I used to use my oven to roast chicken, potatoes & veggies, now I use my air fryer 100%. I even use it to fry my bacon which comes out even nicer than using the oven or pan! ;) I can't live without my air fryer...lol! :D

    1. Your poor oven! hah..hah... mine was thrown out at the beginning of the year as it was already malfunctioning. It had served me well. Now, I have yet to cook bacon in the air fryer. I shall experiment soon!
