Well, this post is about yesterday. When I passed by Halla Holla, I realized that the chicken rice shop next door is no longer there. They were closed the whole time since the Chinese New Year.
From this.
My lunch. Three dishes and yes, I had a bowl of rice. My goal now is no longer to lose weight but maintenance and to build/retain muscle. So I will have carbs but not everyday.
It may look like a lot of food but the dishes are served on a shallow metal plate and housed in a big bowl.
The dishes here are very tasty but on the spicy and salty side. I would prefer if they reduced the salt level. As for the chilies, we can always pick them out and set them aside. Also there is quite a bit of msg because I was very thirsty after the meal.
I left with a full and happy tummy.

Ah, today I was at starling mall and I forgot to look for this perfume vending machine 😂
ReplyDeletehah..hah.. Next time if it is still there.
DeleteIf the chicken rice place was only around for a short while, I wonder if they actually had a signboard or that piece of cloth was covering the old signboard belonging to The Neighourhood Hoot...lol. That's why you saw the signboard again. Well, now that renovations is underway, you'll find out soon if a new place has taken over. Looks like it was a bad omen to open business without a proper signboard...lol! :D
ReplyDeleteThere's a place in my taman also offering individual dishes like that. Initially I thought wow that's quite a good quantity of food untll I realised it was a shallow dish on top...haha!
That shoplot is jinxed hah..hah... Yeah, they did not put up a new signboard. Maybe they were iffy if they would last.
DeleteOptical illusion to get us to think we are getting a lot of food >.<
Be careful of blood pressure spike if the food are salty. Keeping you in my mind dear PH. This is how I interpret the quote, your future (tomorrow) has arrived and becomes today so in order to have a good future, treasure your today.
ReplyDeleteOh ya, thanks for the reminder! You are on my mind too, my dear!
