On the eve of Chinese New Year, it rained in the evening. Yeah! That should keep the pesky fire cracker maniacs at bay hah...hah...hah...
But no, they were still at it although their activity was somewhat dampened. I could sleep peacefully and the next morning I decided to go out.
I went to Nasi Lemak Shop at Bandar Utama for breakfast. Yup I was going to eat carbs. It is Chinese New Year after all.
I was there at 10.00 am when it was all calm and quiet. But that did not last long as more and more customers arrived.
The Chinese New Year decorations this year is not as nice as last year's (in my opinion). Since I was there late, my photos were photo bombed (due to many visitors).
I went to the ordering machine to look at the full menu. Maybe I could come back at lunch. They have their breakfast set of donut and beverage.
Since I am no longer into sweet glazed donuts, it was not attractive to me. Besides their coffee is a bit pricey. So I did not come back. Maybe next time.
I remember my Singaporean blogger friend, Lotus, asked if we have Nitori in Malaysia. Oh yes, we do!
Oh my God! The sauce was so terribly sweet that I could feel my insulin hitting the roof ding! ding!!! DINGGG!!!!!
You should have seen my face shape shifting as I ate this frozen yogurt. Next time, no sauce. I'll just top with two fruits and one crunchy almond.
Then I quickly continued with my walk.
I did not go inside this shop because I neither have the body to wear the apparel nor afford it. My version of Victoria's Secret is my sarong wahahahaha!!!.

Ah, your cny day 1 sounds fun. I also went to the mall on cny day 1, hehehehe but didn't walk as many steps as you did 😊
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed my walk and look-see-look-see but at the end of the day, all malls are mostly similar. Maybe I'll do another one on Hari Raya day LOL!
DeleteGood morning. I love how you spent your CNY Day 1 (aka chor yat). Thanks for remembering my question and answering it here with regards to Nitori, it is higher end than Daiso.
ReplyDeleteOn my next visit, I will go in to have a look at Nitori.
DeleteHi dear friend, it sounds like a great day.
ReplyDeleteI love Chinese and Japanese art. I have a beautiful silk housecoat that I wear in the apartment over my house dress. It is Chinese and bright red. The details are lovely.
The quote is very accurate.
I love all the colours in your photos.
It was an enjoyable day, so carefree and I could pretend that I was a retired person LOL! Ah, I can imagine how beautiful your bright red silk housecoat is! It is lovely that you appreciate Chinese and Japanese art.
DeleteYes, for once, I slept soundly too...there were a lot less houses playing firecrackers this year (maybe can't afford it..lol). And yes, CNY is a good excuse to indulge in carbs...hah..hah. You didn't cart some pastries from KHB away? I actually love doughnuts but not the sweet-glazed ones or the ones with sugar all over it...wish they would just sell the doughnuts as it is. I believe you when you say your dessert was terribly sweet...and can imagine your face being contorted...coz that would be me too when something gives me a diabetic coma! ;D
ReplyDeleteDiabetic coma! hah..hah... No, I did not buy any pastries from KHB. Me too when it comes to doughnuts. I prefer them plain, no sugar, no nothing!
