I Hate Windows 10

Last weekend I switched on my home computer. After I signed in, this showed up on my screen.

Since I am not computer savvy, obviously there is no point in me choosing "See advanced repair options". So I clicked on "Restart my PC".

The Blue Screen of Death. Then this happened.

It went on like this for what seemed forever. Hey, quick lah, I want to update my blog. Tsk!

Fade to black. That's it. It just died on me. I was devastated.

So I contacted my brother aka my makan kaki who happens to be our resident family tech guy. Got to reinstall already, he told me. Drat!

Windows 10. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. I want Windows XP back.

I could't update my blog and I was very depressed. But I still have some draft posts but these will run out soon. So I will try to update after office hours.

So people, if you don't see any updates from me, you know why.

Hope you get it reinstalled and working well.

    1. My computer originally came with Windows 8. Not long after, every time I switched it on, I was prompted to upgrade to Windows 10. It's so irritating seeing the message until one day I decided to do it. Regret, regret, regret!

  7. Hi Phong Hong, not anything new is better, huh? There are ample examples of Change for the sake of changing? Don't change you may be a step behind but change you may still be at square one. Aiyah.

  8. Maybe your PC old one, not enough to accommodate Windows 10. I think one of my old laptops like that too - the guy said cannot update. In fact, I can't remember what Windows I am using, 7 maybe...or XP or whatever.

  10. gaaah ... if this happened to me, i'd be very anguished too ... especially since i'm also not computer-savvy when it comes to trouble-shooting. my 2.5-year-old laptop (now running on windows 10) has been behaving erratically recently ... the wifi connection drops more often than usual - and it's not the wifi's fault, since the connection is stable on my phone and tablet. hoping i don't have to change the laptop anytime in the next year. you have my sympathies.

    1. Windows 10 is not stable yet and we are all being used as guinea pigs! I really hate it that Microsoft keeps doing this to us. I suppose that's how they earn their millions.

  11. Don't say 10 lah, 8 also I hate to the max. I still haven't found the opportunity to go and buy a RM 10 CD for Windows 7 yet. I'm sorry to say Microsoft really screw up. Their Windows 8 onward seems to be designed with tablet (touch screen) in mind. Not PC friendly at all.

  14. That's why I refused the opportunity to fully upgrade to Windows 10. I tried the free trial and hated it because it wasn't user-friendly at all. Windows XP is definitely the best!
